TTD Eo Opens Shoe Keeping Counters

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy opened two shoe-keeping counters on Tuesday evening for devotees in Tirumala at Annaprasadam Complex and Main Kalyana Katta Complex.

he said, the purpose behind the opening of shoe counters is that there is a strong sentiment among pilgrims thronging Tirumala that they should not wear chappals around temple premises.


So to safeguard their footwear, we have contemplated shoe-keeping counters in ten areas out of which two are opened today, he added.


Briefing further he said, the devotees shall have to take the bags bearing number and place the footwear, tie it properly and place it back in the rack bearing the same number. The devotee will be issued a token with same number as that of the rack ans bag. After his or her return, the devotee gives  the token and gets back his shoes. "Here the responsibility of the devotee is more while the tokens will be issued by srivari sevaks", EO said.


In MTVAC the shoe keeping centre with 1187 racks and at Main KKC 4000 racks was opened up for devotees. Soon the shoe keeping centres at PAC 1,2,3, Narayana Giri queues, Rambhagicha, Supadham, ATC circle, VQC will also be inaugurated.


CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SE2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, Kalyana Katta and Annaprasadam Deputy EO Sri Selvam, Health Officer Dr Sridevi, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, Catering Special Officer Sri Shastry and others were also present.


Phule is Man of Masses and Social Reforms - Speakers













Mahatma Jyotirao Phule was an anti-caste and social reformer who stood for the upliftment of the downtrodden and women empowerment and revered as "Man of Masses" said the speakers.


On the occasion of 196th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, tributes were paid to the social reformer under the aegis of welfare department of TTD at Mahati Auditorium on Tuesday.


Stalwarts were invited to speak about the great humane. Speakers including  Telegana Sahitya Academy President Sri Gowri Shankar, Journalism professor from Kakinada Sri Srinivas, Bahujana Samakhya Sanghatan Chief Smt Preeta Harith elaborated on life, education, hardships, struggle and achievements of Sri Phule as social reformer. "His work extended to many fields, including the eradication of untouchability and the caste system and for his efforts in educating women and oppressed caste people. He is an icon of upliftment of women and downtrodden and stood as a role model to many in later years", they asserted.


DyEOs Smt Snehalata, Sri Lokanatham, Sri Anandaraju, Smt Jagadeeshwari, SC, ST, BC leaders and employees of TTD were also present.

Sampoorna Sundarakanda Akhanda Parayanam on 16th May at Dharmagiri

 The Hanuman Jayanthi festivities will be observed for five days in Tirumala from May 14 to May 18, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


During a review meeting held at the chambers' of TTD EO at the Administrative Building in Tirupati on Tuesday, he directed the officials concerned from various departments including Vedic institutions, SVBC, Engineering, Temple, Annaprasadam etc. to make necessary arrangements for the ensuing mega religious festival. 


The EO said, during these five days, renowned scholars will present discourses on the Birth, various characteristics of Sri Hanuman not only in a spiritual way but in a scientific angle also.


He directed the Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham Principal Sri KSS Avadhani to make the arrangements for the pundits who will be rendering Akhanda Parayanam as well Yagam in the Peetham at Tirumala. He also asked them to involve the vedic scholars from SV Vedic University, National Sanskrit Varsity, SV Higher Vedic Studies apart from Dharmagiri. 


Later the EO instructed the Engineering officials to make necessary arrangements and GM Transport for arranging transportation to the invitees.


The Akhanda Parayanam will commence at 6am on May 16 and will conclude at around 11pm lasting for about 18hours without interruption. The total of 2872 slokas from Sundarakanda will be recited by a set of 11 Vedic Pundits who will be on rotation after the completion of a cycle of nearly 150 shlokas. 


The programme will be telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees. Every day, the devotional cultural programmes by Annamacharya, Dasa Sahitya, HDPP project artists will also entertain devotees in spiritual waves at Anjanadri Akasa Ganga and Nada Neerajanam platforms in Tirumala.

TTD Children Hospital A Role Model to the Country












Health Care and Education are the two crucial components in the growth of a country and the Health Index decides the development of a nation, said Sri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Honourable Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs & Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.


The Union Minister along with his family and entourage, after offering prayers in the temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala on Tuesday, visited TTD-run Sri Padmavathi Children's Heart Centre and BIRRD Ortho Hospitals.


TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and Director of SPCHC Dr Srinath Reddy led him to the various wards where the infants and children are being treated for their heart ailments. The Minister visited Cathlab, ICU etc.and interacted with the patient's parents. 


He expressed immense happiness over the mode of service being offered by TTD to the infants and children by performing heart surgeries to the needy free of cost. Later he also visited the BIRRD ortho hospital where the knee joint replacements and ortho related ailments are being carried out free of cost to the needy.


Speaking to media persons, he said, the services in these two-TTD run hospitals are laudable and especially the Pediatric Cardiac Centre is impeccable. "I had just seen a few days old, months old infants who were successfully treated by the team of dedicated doctors and para medical staffs in the hospital giving a new lease of life to the infants. I also compliment TTD for having started such a wonderful hospital and the initiative of the State Government also", he added.


He said, I was informed that even during the hard times of Covid, the TTD-run BIRRD hospital has served as a Covid Care Centre and treated many which deserves a pat. Today, under the able leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modiji, we rebuilt Health Care Centre in the country from scratch. India stood as a role model to the entire world during the Covid Pandemic and today over 224 crore vaccinations are being manufactured by us", he asserted. 


"I once again whole-heartedly congratulate the TTD and the entire team of doctors for their services in the field of Medical and Health and the Pediatric Cardiac Centre is sure to become a role model hospital in the entire country", he reiterated.
