Ambedkar is A Towering Personality Across the Globe
The illustrious journey of Dr BR Ambedkar is an inspiration to every individual. He struggled hard fighting against all social odds to become a towering personality not only in the country but across the world, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
The EO graced the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar as Chief Guest, held at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Friday under the aegis of the Welfare Department of TTD. In his address, he recalled the life of Dr Ambedkar and said he drafted the Indian Constitution that provides liberty, equality and fraternity to every individual to live with dignity and pride in the country. His dedication, struggle, hard work and courage made him reach many heights and called on the employees to follow the path shown by him and offer more dedicated services.
Eminent personalities including Sri PSS Murty, former Assistant Director General, Aadhaar Project, Government of India, Padmasri Prof.Enoch, former VC of SV University, Prof.MM Vinodini from Yogi Vemana University YSR Kadapa, renowned critic Sri Lakshmi Narasaiah in their speeches said Ambedkar taught the society not to remain ignorant. He gave a clarion call with his way of life, to be educated in order to achieve their rights. Dr Ambedkar was a Knowledge Treasure as he had penned over 21 volumes. He was a jurist, economist, social reformer and politician and considered as "Father of Indian Constitution".
Earlier, in his presidential speech on the occasion TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahman said, Dr Ambedkar is an icon of Equality. While TTD CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore noted the ideals of Dr Ambedkar are not only followed in the country but in 130-odd nations across the globe today.
Later Peoples' Poet Dr Jaibheem Balakrishna, Uday and his team presented some enlightening songs on the occasion. The dance performance by Kum. Dimple, the daughter of a TTD employee Smt Suneeta, portrayal of Dr Ambdekar by an employee Sri Ananda Rao stood as a special attraction in the event.
Later, Communal Awards were distributed to 45 TTD employees belonging to various cadres, who excelled in their services.
Deputy EOs Sri Devendra Babu, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Ananda Raju, Sri Subramanyam, Smt Nagaratna, Smt Jagadishwari, Sri Govindarajan, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, PRO Dr T Ravi, Welfare Officer Smt Snehalata and other officials, employees were present.
TTD To Commence Vedic UniversityServices in Northern India Soon - TTD Chairman
The TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is the only varsity which has UGC recognition among Vedic universities in the entire country, and we need to extend our services in the Northern belt of India apart from Telugu and southern states, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.
Under his chairmanship the Executive Committee Meetings of SV Vedic University and HDPP were held at Sri Padmavathi Rest House in Tirupati on Friday evening.
Later briefing the media on the same, he said, the EC meeting has decided to conduct the Seventh Convocation of SVVU on April 28. He said TTD is contemplating to commence the services of Vedic Varsity in Rushikesh soon. With an aim to enhance the strength of students in Vedic studies, TTD has decided to commence Purana Pravachanam, Yoga, Dhyanam and other occult sciences as certificate courses in the institution.
The Adarsha Veda Gurukula Education resumed in the varsity which was closed during the Covid pandemic. Akin to TTD regular employees, the health scheme will be henceforth implied to the regular employees of Vedic Varsity also, he added. In an academic year, 40 Vedic students shall be given entry to do research. During the convocation, two exponents will be awarded Maha Mahopadhyaya and another two with Vachaspathi titles, he maintained.
In the HDPP EC meeting has decided to perform Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Vratam in 59 important and major temples located in AP and TS on every Pournami day in a month. Similarly, we also want to commence Srinivasa Vratam soon, he added.
