Specially Abled Children and Aged Worship In Tiruamala Shrine
Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara, a mirage all these years, brought bright shine and cheers on the faces of hundreds of children and aged on Tuesday, as over 1000 plus deaf and dumb besides aged persons had darshan in Tirumala shrine.
With the initiative by Chennai Local Advisory Committee Chief Sri Sekhar Reddy and Rajasthan Youth Association and Chennai Food Bank, 1008 children were provided Srivari Darshan by the TTD through the physically challenged and senior citizens darshan line. Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Bali Reddy were also present.
The 1000 plus includes 160 Blind, 100 physically disabled, 108 elderly persons, 50 mentally retarded and remaining orphans. Sky's the limit for the rejoice of these special devotees who were aged between 5years and 70years. They expressed immense pleasure for having the darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. For a majority it was their maiden visit to the abode of Srivaru and they were thrilled with the darshan. They thanked the Organisers and TTD for providing them a lifetime opportunity to have Lord Sri Venkateswara's divine darshan.
TTD JEo (H&E) Inspects Akshaya Kshetram
TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi visited the rehabilitation centre for the mentally retarded children-Akshaya Kshetram located in Renigunta Road on Tuesday.
She interacted with the children and organisers and also verified the facilities including special training wards being provided to them.
Speaking on the occasion she said TTD has been providing financial aid of Rs.15lakhs to Akshaya Kshetram till Covid. Those who have mental disorders in Tirupati and Tirumala are being sent to this rehabilitation centre for proper treatment and training.
A report will be submitted to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy for taking a decision on resuming financial support to the institution.
DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, PRO Dr T Ravi, Balamandir AEO Smt Ammulu and others were present.
TTD Makes Alternate Arrangement of Sanitary Workers
With the Sulabh Workers going on a strike without prior intimation, TTD has made alternate arrangements ensuring that visiting pilgrims are not to put to any sort of inconvenience with the issues of hygiene and cleanliness in Tirumala.
At present, in Tirumala, the sanitary workers who are deployed have been rendering services in four shifts round the clock at Annaprasadam Complex, VQC 1 and 2, Laddu Complex, Garbage lifting, sweeping the roads, cleaning toilets etc. On the other hand, the staff of the Facility Management Services (FMS) have also ensuring that their respective places are kept spick and span.
Upon the instructions of TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, under the personal supervision of JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, a committee headed by SE 2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy with all EEs and DyEEs working in Tirumala as members along with the Health Officer Dr Sridevi are ensuring that the premises of Tirumala are kept clean and hygienic.
Sri Govindaraja Swami Arts college To Be Automomours - TTD JEo (H&E)
TTD-run Sri Govindaraja Swami Arts college which has achieved NAAC A+ grade in its first attempt itself, is now stepping ahead to become autonomous, said TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi.
In connection with this remarkable achievement a "Get Together" was organised at SGS Arts College in Tirupati on Tuesday to which the JEO graced the event as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the JEO said, post Covid, the NAAC team visited the college and got impressed with the quality of education, infrastructure and environment in the premises and was given the NAAC A+ grade in its maiden attempt. "I appreciate and compliment the team work of the Principal and the teaching and non-teaching faculty, students and hard work of Devasthanams Education Officer", she said.
She also said an art gallery with temple architecture was also commenced in the college premises. She also appreciated the participation of Walkers' Association, Pensioners' Association who felicitated the SGS faculty on their achievement. The JEO said that the former DEO of TTD and the present services DyEO Sri Govindarajan and PRO Dr T Ravi also happen to be the old students of this coveted college and advised them to contribute for the development of the institution along with other old students.
