Mann kiBaat is a revolutionary programme: Governor

Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has termed the Mann Ki Baatprogramme of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the revolutionary initiative.

She said that the Mann Ki Baat is catalyzing many developmental movements aimed at the nation building with the massive participation of the people.

The Governor was speaking at the special screening of the 100th episode of the Mann kiBaat, organised at the Raj Bhavan, here.

“It is never in history that a country’s leader could speak to at least 100 crore people through his monthly radio talk,” she said.

Paying glowing tributes at the immense success of the Mann kiBaatprogramme, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that it has highlighted the services, sacrifices, achievements of hundreds of unsung heroes and other commoners, who could make a difference through their humble contributions to the society.

“Thanks to the use of radio as the medium to connect with the people across the country through his Mann Ki Baat, the Hon’ble Prime Minister has helped radio to reinvent its glory,” she added.

The Governor stated that Shri Narendra Modi is a great communicator with innovative ideas and concepts to reach out to the people across the country to appreciate their achievements.

By inspiring lakhs of people, especially youngsters to take part in nation building activities, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Mann Ki Baat has galvanized initiatives like Swacch Bharat, environmental protection, organ donation, organ transplantation and a host of other initiatives as mass movements.

Governor, along with the Mann kiBaatmentionees and other guests, watched the live screening of the programme at the Raj historic Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan.

As part of the event, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan honoured Nine persons belonging to the Telangana State who were mentioned in different episodes of the Mann kiBaat’s different episodes by Prime Minister.

Those who were felicitated by the Governor include; KurellaVittachalarya (who donated his property to establish a library), MalavathPurna (young mountaineer), MeeraShenoy (working for the employment of the differently abled), ChintalaVenkata Reddy (who invented fortification of rice with Vitamin D), Yeldhi Hari Prasad (a weaver for creating a handwoven G20 logo), Ch. Santosh Kumar (creator of AmritSarovar in MankyavalyaThanda), Raj Kumar Naik (Perini dancer), Sanjay Nekkanti (Dhruva Space founder), and Lokini Srinivas (who established the power plant to generate power from vegetable waste at Bowenpally agricultural market).

Maha Samprokshana Programs at Seetampeta Commences



The Maha Samprokshana rituals in Seetampeta of Parvatipuram Manyam district have commenced on a grand religious note under the supervision of one of the chief priests of Tirumala temple Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu on Sunday.


Speaking on the occasion, he said, TTD has taken up the construction of Srivari temple in Agency area with an aim to propagate Srivari Vaibhavam across the country. As part of it, apart from Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, the sub-shrines of Sri Lakshmi, Sri Godadevi, Garudalwar, Jaya-Vijaya, Vimana Gopuram, Mukha Mandapam will also be constructed. Explaining about the events, he said on Sunday Panchagavya Prasana, Vastu Homam, Akalmasha Prayaschitta Homam, Rakshabandhanam will be observed while Agni Pratista, Kumbha Sthapana, Kumbharadhana, Visesha Homams. 


For performing various Agamic rituals, 17 Homa Gundams were set up in the Yagashala. TTD Vaikhanasa Agama Advisor Sri Mohana Rangacharyulu is acting as Upadrastha for all these religious events while Sri Seshacharyulu as Kankanabhattar.


DyEO Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Siva Prasad, EEs Sri Sudhakar, Sri Ramesh and other officials were present.

Sundara Tirumala-Sudha Tirumala Program A Huge Success

 Following the clarion call given by TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, the strong workforce of TTD, have voluntarily participated in the "Sundara Tirumala-Suddha Tirumala" programme on Sunday to transform the hill shrine into a green and garbage free environment providing a healthy and divine ambience to the visiting devotees.


Addressing media after a Tirumala cleaning voluntary program with TTD deputation staff the TTD EO said the Sulabh Agency employees in Tirumala had gone on a lightning strike since April 22 without giving notice to the TTD management.


The undeterred TTD management had strived to keep the hill shrine clean by deploying sanitary workers from Tirupati, Nellore, Chittoor and Nellore Municipal Corporations for the last one week.   

He said of the 8,000 - 10,000 permanent and contract employees nearly 600-700 employees were allotted cleaning duty on deputation at Tirumala which also included EO, JEOs, CVSO, Deputy EOs, Superintendents, Clerks, lecturers, teachers and doctors on a three terms per month schedule.


He said besides the TTD employees and the Srivari Sevakulu have also responded to his appeal to participate in the cleaning program as part of their service to Sri Venkateswara Swamy. The EO said the crisis is being resolved by issuing work orders to five different agencies who are now recruiting sanitary workers from several districts. The TTD has provided adequate salaries, all perks including Srivari Darshan, laddu Prasadams etc.


He complimented the media, TTD employees including the teaching faculty from various educational institutions and Srivari Sevakulu who supported the TTD during the high time and for their voluntary participation in the Sundara Tirumala-Suddha Tirumala programme.  


Earlier TTD EO launched the cleaning program at CRO, District Collector Sri Venkatramana Reddy at Lepakshi Circle, while JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi at old Annaprasadam, Sri Veerabrahmam at Vaikunta Queue complex, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore at GNC, CE Sri Nageswara Rao at Shilathoranam, FA&CAO Sri Balaji at Narayanagiri Gardens with the help of Srivari Sevakulu.


CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, SE 2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy and other officials have also participated while the overall requirement of providing the cleaning materials were provided by the Health Officer Dr Sridevi. 

















Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on 2nd May



TTD is organising the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam fete at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on May 2 in connection with the annual Vasanthotsavam from May 4  to May 6.


Ankurarpanam will be performed on May 3 evening and interested devotees shall participate in the Vasanthotsavam with 150 per ticket per person.


The temple cleansing fete will commence at 6am and darshan will commence after 9am.

Contract Employee Caught



The TTD vigilance sleuths have identified a contract Parakamani employee hiding a bundle of US currency during currency counting session at the Parakaman building in Tirumala and taken him into custody. During interrogation, they traced the currency and thereafter they handed him over to police and a case has been registered against the person.


The fine tuned systems and cameras at the new Parakamani building have made easy detection and scrutiny possible to catch the culprits red handedly. TTD vigilance officials said no scope for such incidents will be given a way in future too and the surveillance would continue with more vigil on 24x7 basis.

E-Auction of Watches on 15th May



TTD is organising an e-auction of watches donated in Srivari temple and other TTD temples on May 15 through Konugulu portal.


They include used and new watches like Titan, Casio, Timex, Alwyn, Sonata, Timewell and Fasttrack brands in 18 lots.
