Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba stoodbas an inspiration to many with her great literary works rendered on Srivaru, said HH Sri Swarupanandendra Saraswati Swamy of Visakha Sarada Peetham.

The Pontiff who graced the 293rd Jayanti fete of the saint poeteaa held at Narayanagiri Gardens in Tirumala on Thursday evening said, Vengamamba was the only devotee who was blessed by Sri Venkateswara Swamy to attain salvation at Tirumala and even today her Brindavanam is being visited by devotees to pay tributes.

"There may be many great saint persons, devotees who penned great devotional works but Vengamamba Sankeertans immerses devotees in spiritual waves. She was the one to get the credit after Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya ", he added.

He lauded EO Sri Dharma Reddy,  for observing the Jayanti fetes of great devotees who dedicated their lives in the divine service.

"Tarigonda Vengamamba Dana Sasanalu", a book penned by reired lecturer and scholar Sri  Gopi Krishna was released on the occasion by the Pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham.

Earlier, the veteran and versatile artistes team from Annamacharya Project rendered Vengamamba kritis including Gana Nayaka, Balagopalam Bhaje, Vachenu Krishnufu Vagameeraga, Sri Madanagopala, Mangalam Nrisimha in a melodious manner in front of Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sridevi and Bhudevi who were seated on a swing in the finely decked Parinayotsava Mandapam.

After the programme, the deities returned to the temple.

The junior pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham Sri Swatmanadendra Saraswati Swamy, JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, Annamacharya Project Director Sri Vibhishana Sharma, Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, VGO Sri Bali Reddy and other staff, devotees were also present.

The annual Vasanthotsavams commenced on a grand religious note at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor on Thursday.

The snapana Tirumanjanam was carried out in the Friday Gardens to the processional deity of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru betweeen 2.30pm and 3.30pm. 

On the second day there will be Swarna Rathotsavam at 9am.

CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, DyEO Sri Govindarajan and other temple staff, devotees were present.

Upon the directives of the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmoham Reddy, the construction of Srivari temples has been taken up in a big way by TTD, as a part of its mission of the propagation of Sanatana Hindu Dharma, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.

The TTD board chief who took part in the Maha Samprokshanam ritual of Srivari temple at Seetampeta in Manyam district on Thursday, speaking to the media on the occasion said, in the last three years construction of over 2000 temples have been taken up especially in the backward and agency areas by TTD.

The Seetampeta temple was constructed at Rs.10cr. From 17-22 the Maha Samprokshanam of Srivari temple in Rampachodavaram is scheduled. We are contemplating constructing a temple at the Agency area of Kurupam. Those who could not visit Tirumala can have darshan of Srivaru at their home places now", he added.

The Chairman also said from the past two years, TTD is also providing darshan to the people from backward places during annual brahmotsavams and vaikuntha dwara darshan. "I wish more srivari sevaks should register from Seetampeta and render services to devotees", he maintained.

MAHA SAMPROKSHANAM

The Maha Samprokshanam was held in the auspicious Vrishabha Lagnam between 7:30am and 8:30am and devotees are allowed for darshan from 10am onwards.

The special devotoonal programs arranged during the occasion allured tue devotees.

MP Sri Chandra Sekhar, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, MLC Sri Vikrant, MLAs Smt Kalavati, Smt Pushpa Srivani, Smt Reddishanti, Sri Jogulu, Sri Chinna Appalanaidu, board member of TTD Sri Krishna Rao, TTD officials, archakas, temple staff were also present.
