Following incessant rains due to the cyclone effect, TTD has observed Simha Vahana Seva in Vahana Mandapam itself on Saturday evening.
The ongoing Karthika Brahmotsavam witnessed Sri Padmavati donned as Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy on Simha Vahanam.
Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, EO Sri J Syamala Rao, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam and other officials, devotees were present.
As the prestigious Kumbh Mela event is all set to be held at Prayagraj (Allahabad) from January 13, 2025 to February 26, 2025, in UP, TTD as a part of promoting Hindu Sanatana Dharma across the country sought the Kumbh Mela authority for an appropriate place to set up a model temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy for the sake of nationwide devotees.
In connection with this, TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Gowthami IAS has formally met the Kumbha Mela Authority Officer
Sri Vijay Kiran Anand IAS at Prayagraj in UP on Saturday.
The Kumbh Mela Authorities have allotted a piece of land to the extent of 2.5acre in the Sixth Sector for TTD to set up the replica temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
Later the JEO also inspected the land allotted to TTD by the Kumbh Mela authorities along with the recce team of TTD officials and made some valuable suggestions to the team of officers on the arrangements to be made for the mega religious event keeping in view especially the North Indian devotees who throng event.
The recce team included HDPP secretary Sri Sriram Raghunath, SE 1 Jagadeeshwar Reddy, EE Sri Surendranath Reddy, and others took part.
A dozen teams consisting 272 artistes hailing from various states have performed different artforms in front of Mutyapu Pandiri Vahana Seva on Saturday.
The third day of ongoing annual brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor witnessed a range of dance forms including Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, besides the folk dances like Kanjeera Kolatam and Pillanagrovi.
Braving the continuous showers, the artists and students of the TTD run SV College of Music and Dance portrayed mythological characters and allured the devotees with their performances.
Sri Padmavathi Devi in the guise of Adi Lakshmi sitting majestically atop Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanam in all Her splendour blessed devotees moving gently along the mada streets under Ghatatopam.
Following the incessant rains, the 3rd day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam at Tiruchanoor witnessed the Vahana Seva under Ghatatopam.
Usually Ghatatopam is used to shield the procession of Utsava deity from inclement weather.
Later in the afternoon Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held. While in the evening Unjal Seva takes place.
Both the seers of Tirumala, EO Sri J Syamala Rao, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, DyEO Sri Govindarajan, Archaka Sri Babu Swamy and others were present.
On the third morning during the ongoing annual fest at Tiruchanoor, four devotional books were released.
TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao released Bhagavata Kathalu by Prof. Sarvottama Rao, Mahabharata Gadhalu by Prof. Sumati Narendra, Ramayana Gadhalu-Mahilalu by Prof. Malayavasini, Aryakathanidhi by Sri Vavikolanu Subba Rao and felicitated the authors on the occasion.
JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, DyEO Sri Govindarajan, Special Officer Publications Dr Vibhishana Sharma, subeditor Dr Narasimhacharyulu were also present.
The Mumbai-based Jean and Bomani A Dubash Charity Trust has donated Rs.50lakh to Sri Balaji Arogya Varaprasadini Scheme (SVIMS) of TTD on Saturday.
To this extent representative of the donor Sri Chandrasekhar has handed over the cheque to TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao at the latter's chamber in the TTD Administrative building in Tirupati.
Earlier also the donor has donated seven crores at different times to SVIMS.
