Its A Fusion of Classical Tribal Dance











The annual Brahmotsavam at Tiruchanoor has become a platform for the display of a variety of dance forms.

On the sixth evening, in front of Garuda Vahanam the classical artforms like Dhamaruka Dhwani, folk arts like Kolatam, Kadapa Drums, pooja kunita were performed.

A total of 15 teams comprising 311 artists presented their talents and allured the devotees.

Mohini Mesmerises on Pallaki











The celestial universal damsel, Mohini seated impressively inside the finely decked palanquin blessed Her devotees on Monday.


On the fifth morning of the ongoing annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor, Sri Padmavati Devi in the guise of Mohini Avataram decked in dazzling jewels and colourful robes conquered the hearts of tens of thousands of devotees who have converged in the mada streets.

Both the pontiffs of Tirumala, TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, DyEO Sri Govindarajan and others were also present.

Lakshmi Kasula Haram Paraded







The famous Lakshmi Kasula Haram is paraded along the four mada streets encircling Tirumala temple on Monday morning.


Later speaking to the media in front of Tirumala temple the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary said it is an age-old tradition that the Lakshmi Kasula from Tirumala temple is usually paraded and then offered to Tiruchanoor temple to be decorated to Sri Padmavati Devi.

Akin to Garuda Seva of Tirumala Brahmotsavam, the Gaja Vahana on the fifth evening is considered as the most important carrier for Sri Padmavati Devi during Tiruchanoor annual Brahmotsavam.

So following the custom, the Lakshmi Kasula Mala was offered special pujas at Srivari temple and then handed over to Tiruchanoor. 

The auspicious jewel will be decorated to Sri Padmavati Devi during Gaja Vahana seva to be observed in Tiruchanoor on Monday evening'', he added.

Its A Day of Folk Dances


















The cool and peaceful day on Monday witnessed a series of unique folk art forms from various artists in Tiruchanoor during Mohini Avataram.


The dances included Keelu Gurralu, Kommu Koya, Gondu, Kolatam,  besides Odissi dance.

A total of 250 artists belonging to a dozen groups participated and allied the devotees with their performances.
