Bhagvad Geeta Competition Held
On the occasion of Gita Jayanti on December 11, Bhagavad Gita memorization competition was held on Sunday at Tirupati Annamacharya Kalamandiram under the auspices of Hindu Charitable Projects.
This competition was held in two categories, i.e.for 18 year old students as one category and above 18 year old as second category in 6th chapter Atma Samyama Yoga, 6th and 7th class as one category and 8th and 9th class as second category.
A total of 139 students from TTD educational institutions and various private schools in Tirupati participated in this competition.
The first winner for classes 6-7 was K. Swathi, the second winner K. Bhoomi, the third winner K. Sahastra, while the first, second and third prizes were won by K. Nandini, K. Nagamallishwari and M. Vaishnavi, the first, second and third prizes for the students above 18 years of age went to KV Lakshmidevi, MS Jyoti and P. Hema Venkata while the winners K.P. Srimukunda, G. Jeevan Srinivas, M. Neeraja Vardhan stood in the first, second and third places for students under 18 years of age.
Prizes will be distributed to the winners on the evening of December 11 on the occasion of Gita Jayanti at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram in Tirupati.
TTD Eo Participates in Maha Yagam at Ayodhya
TTD EO Sri J. Syamala Rao along with his spouse participated in Sri Maha Narayana Divya Rudra Sahita Sata Sahasra Chandi Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagam organized by Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Kshetra Trust at Ayodhya in Uttara Pradesh seeking world peace on Sunday.
This Yagam has started on November 18 continuing for 45 days and will be completed by January 1 in 2025.
The TTD EO performed a special pooja during this Yagam.
TTD Chairman Meets Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipati
TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu has formally met the Chief Pontiff of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, HH Sri Sri Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji on Sunday evening at Kanchi Mutt in Tirumala
Speaking to the Chairman on this occasion, the Swamiji appreciated the recent decisions taken by the new Board of Trustees of TTD.
He said that it is commendable to take decisions to protect the sanctity of Tirumala and in the benefit of the devotees.
He advised the Chairman to make Tirumala a more beautiful spiritual place and to work for the spread of Vedic education.
