Karthika Parva Deepotsavam Held at Tirumala Srivari Temple










The beauty of Tirumala temple was enhanced in the vibrant glow of ghee-lit lamps on the auspicious occasion of the Salakatla Karthika Parva Deepotsavam held on Sunday evening.


It is an age-old tradition to observe Kartika Deepotsavam on the full moon day of Kartikai at the Tirumala Srivari Temple every year.

Following this festival, TTD has cancelled the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva as well the Pournami Garuda Seva.

As part of this Kartika Parva Deepotsavam held from 6pm to 8 pm, initially the broken mud pots, Mookullu filled ghee wicks were lit behind Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy temple and later taken inside Garbhalayam and offered prayers in front of Srivaru.

After that, the vimana pradakshina is performed as a procession and aarti is offered to Jaya Vijaya, Garuda, Potu Tayar, Ananda Nilayam, Varadaraja Swamy and all the important places within the temple complex. 

Outside the temple the traditional ghee lamps were lit at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy, Sri Varaha Swamy Temple and Swami Pushkarini.

On the whole around 80 Mookullu, over 1000 Pramidalu were lit in the entire temple premises. Devotees also cherished the festival of lights chanting Govinda... Govinda with religious ecstasy.

HH Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, TTD Board member Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, SP Sri Subbarayudu, DyEO Sri Lokanatham, Peishkar Sri Rama Krishna, VGO Sri Surendra and others were present.

Karthika Deepotsavam Observed in All Local Temples of TTD






The auspicious Karthika Deepotsavam was observed with utmost religious fervour in all TTD local temples on Sunday evening.

At Sri Govindaraja Swamy, Sri Kodanda Ramalayam, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Narayanavanam temples the entire temple premises were lit with ghee lamps in a traditional manner.

The concerned temple officials, archakas were present.

Bedi Anjaneya Gets Special Abhishekam








On the last Sunday of Karthika month, a special Abhishekam was performed to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy located opposite Tirumala temple.


As a part of it, the Mula Virat of Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy was anointed with milk, curd, honey, Sandal Paste, Turmeric.

Temple Peishkar Sri Ramakrishna and other temple staff, archakas, devotees were also present.
