TTD Eo Inspected Age-Old Choultries in Tirumala

TTD EO Sri J Syamala Rao who inspected the various rest houses in Tirumala on Friday evening directed the Engineering officials to come out with an action plan to reconstruct age old rest houses in Tirumala in the place of several decades old structures.

Along with the Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, the EO inspected  Sudarshan, Govardhan, Kalyani, C-type quarters and some places at Padmavati area to verify the condition of various old rest houses.

After noticing a few issues the EO instructed the CE Sri Satyanarayana to come out with a concrete plan to construct new rest houses in these places in the larger benefit of the common pilgrims.

Issues identified :

As all these rest houses are over six decades old, in spite of renovations leakages are a common factor.

Keeping in view the requirements of pilgrims around sixty years ago, many of these rest houses are constructed without proper car parking facilities in spacious areas.

As all these rest houses are constructed in the old method of Load Bearing, their sustainability is questionable after several decades.

As such TTD is regularly getting complaints from pilgrims on leakages, untidiness and many more.

Similarly, the officers also visited the Padmavati area and identified a few constructions which need to be re-constructed as per the present-day needs.

DyEOs Sri Bhaskar, Sri Harindranath, EEs and others were also present.
