Significance of Matsya Avatar


According to legend, Lord Vishnu took the Matsya (fish) avatar to retrieve the stolen Vedas from demon Somakasura and restore knowledge to the world. Devotees believe Nagalapuram is the sacred place where this divine event occurred.

The temple features five prakarams, seven entrances, and majestic gopurams on all sides, reflecting a blend of Pallava architecture and later development. Unique sculptures and sub-shrines add to its spiritual charm.

The temple has been under TTD administration since 1967 and continues to develop. Major renovations and Maha Kumbhabhishekam were conducted in February 2026, further enhancing its glory.

Ankurarpanam Performedfor Patra Pushpa Yagam at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple

 


Ankurarpanam for the Patra Pushpa Yagam to be held on May 1 at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Tirupati, was performed on Thursday evening as per tradition.


Special rituals including Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held in the morning, followed by the Patra Pushpa Yagam with various sacred leaves and flowers. A procession will be taken out in the evening.


Devotees can participate in the ritual. The Yagam is performed as a ritual atonement during temple festivals.

Tarigonda Vengamamba- A Symbol of Devotion, Knowledge and Yoga

 




The 296th Jayanthi celebrations of Tarigonda Vengamamba concluded grandly in a devotional atmosphere at Annamacharya Kalamandiram, Tirupati.


Eminent litterateur Smt. Sridevi stated that Vengamamba’s life reflected a perfect blend of devotion, wisdom, and yogic practice, dedicated entirely to Lord Venkateswara.


Scholars highlighted her literary greatness and spiritual legacy during the seminar. Cultural and devotional programs added spiritual fervour to the event.


Floral tributes were paid to her statue in Tirupati, while special rituals and cultural events were also held at Tarigonda.

భక్తి–శాస్త్ర–శిల్ప సమ్మేళనం: శ్రీ వేదనారాయణ స్వామి దివ్యక్షేత్రం మత్స్యావతార మహిమతో వెలుగొందుతున్న నాగలాపురం ఆలయం nagulapuram

 







ఆధ్యాత్మికత, శిల్పకళ, శాస్త్రజ్ఞానంతో నిండిన పవిత్ర క్షేత్రం నాగలాపురం. ఇక్కడ విరాజిల్లుతున్న శ్రీ వేదనారాయణ స్వామివారి ఆలయం భక్తులకు ఆధ్యాత్మికతను మరింత ప్రసాదించే దివ్యస్థలంగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. ఈ ఆలయం పౌరాణిక వైభవంతో మరింతగా భక్తులను ఆకర్షిస్తోంది. ప్రతిరోజూ వివిధ రాష్ట్రాల నుండి వేలాది మంది భక్తులు విచ్చేసి స్వామివారిని దర్శించుకుంటూ ఆధ్యాత్మిక ఆనందాన్ని పొందుతున్నారు. ఇక్కడ జరుగుతున్న పూజలు, సేవలు భక్తుల్లో భక్తి భావాన్ని మరింతగా పెంపొందిస్తున్నాయి.


మత్స్యావతార మహిమ


సోమకాసురుడు వేదాలను అపహరించగా లోకం అజ్ఞానాంధకారంలో మునిగిపోయింది. దేవతల ప్రార్థనలతో శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు మత్స్యావతారాన్ని ధరించి అసురుని సంహరించి వేదాలను తిరిగి బ్రహ్మకు అందజేశాడు. ఆ దివ్య ఘట్టం జరిగిన ప్రదేశమే నాగలాపురమని భక్తుల విశ్వాసం. మహాలక్ష్మి, పరమేశ్వరుడు మత్స్యరూపంలోని శ్రీహరిని దర్శించారని చెప్పబడటంతో ఈ క్షేత్రం “హరికాంతపురం”గా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది.


శిల్పకళా వైభవం


పంచప్రాకారాలు, సప్తద్వారాలు, నాలుగు వైపులా గోపురాలతో ఆలయం అద్భుతంగా నిర్మించబడింది. పల్లవుల నిర్మాణ శైలి, శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయల అభివృద్ధి కలగలసి ఈ ఆలయాన్ని విశిష్టంగా నిలబెట్టాయి. నాలుగు ద్వారాలకు విభిన్న ద్వారపాలకులు ఉండటం అరుదైన విశేషం. ఉప ఆలయాల్లో లక్ష్మీనరసింహ, కోదండరామ, హయగ్రీవ స్వామివారు భక్తులకు దర్శనమిస్తారు.


సూర్యకిరణాల అద్భుతం


ప్రతి సంవత్సరం సూర్యకిరణాలు గర్భగుడిలోని మూలవిరాట్‌ను తాకడం ఈ ఆలయ విశేషం. పాదాలు, నాభి, శిరస్సును వరుసగా స్పృశించే ఈ దివ్య దృశ్యం శిల్పవిజ్ఞానానికి నిలువెత్తు నిదర్శనం. ఈ ఘట్టాన్ని “సూర్యపూజోత్సవం”గా భక్తి భరితంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు.


దివ్య దర్శనం


మత్స్యనారాయణ స్వామివారి దర్శనం కేతు దోష నివారణకు, విద్యాభివృద్ధికి శ్రేయస్కరమని భక్తులు విశ్వసిస్తున్నారు. స్వామివారిని భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో శరణు కోరిన వారికి శత్రు బాధలు తొలగుతాయని పురాణాలు తెలియజేస్తున్నాయి.


నిత్య కైంకర్యాలు


ప్రతి రోజు నైవేద్యాలు సమర్పించి భక్తులకు ప్రసాదం అందిస్తున్నారు. టీటీడీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఉచిత అన్నప్రసాదం నిర్వహించబడుతూ భక్తులకు ఆధ్యాత్మిక తృప్తిని అందిస్తోంది.


ఉత్సవాల వైభవం


ప్రతి శనివారం అభిషేకం, సంవత్సరంలో సూర్యపూజోత్సవాలు, తెప్పోత్సవాలు, బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు, పుష్పయాగం, పవిత్రోత్సవాలు భక్తి పరవశంలో నిర్వహించబడుతున్నాయి. మత్స్యజయంతి సందర్భంగా మత్స్యకారులు దీక్షలతో స్వామివారిని దర్శించుకోవడం ఈ క్షేత్ర ప్రత్యేకతగా నిలుస్తోంది.


ఆధ్యాత్మిక వారసత్వానికి చిరునామా


1967లో టిటిడిలో విలీనం అయిన ఈ ఆలయం అప్పటి నుండి టీటీడీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో అభివృద్ధి చెందుతోంది. 1971, 2008లో మహాసంప్రోక్షణలు నిర్వహించగా, 2026 ఫిబ్రవరిలో మహా కుంభాభిషేకం అత్యంత వైభవంగా జరిగింది. ఆలయ పరిసరాల్లో రామాయణం, మహాభారతం, మత్స్యావతార ఘట్టాలను ప్రతిబింబించే అద్భుత శిల్పాలు భక్తుల్లో ఆధ్యాత్మిక చైతన్యాన్ని పెంపొందిస్తున్నాయి.

Ankurarpanam

 





Ankurarpanam for the annual Vasanthotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor, was performed on Wednesday evening in a traditional manner.


Rituals including Punyahavachanam, Raksha Bandhanam, Ankurarpanam and Senadhipathi Utsavam were held from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.


The Vasanthotsavams will be held from April 30 to May 2. Devotees can participate by paying Rs.150.


On May 1, Swarna Rathotsavam will be held at 9:30 AM. Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed daily from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by procession of the deity in the four mada streets from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.


Temple Deputy EO Sri Harindranath, Archaka Sri Babu Swami and others participated.

శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి వసంతోత్సవాలకు అంకురార్పణVastosavam

 






తిరుచానూరులోని శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి ఆలయంలో వసంతోత్సవాలకు బుధవారం సాయంత్రం శాస్త్రోక్తంగా అంకురార్పణ జరిగింది.


సాయంత్రం 6 నుండి 7.30 గంటల వరకు పుణ్యాహవచనం, రక్షాబంధనం, అంకురార్పణ, సేనాధిపతి ఉత్సవం నిర్వహించారు.


ఏప్రిల్ 30 నుండి మే 2 వరకు వసంతోత్సవాలు జరుగనున్నాయి. భక్తులు రూ.150 చెల్లించి ఈ ఉత్సవాల్లో పాల్గొనవచ్చు.


మే 1న ఉదయం 9.30 గంటలకు స్వర్ణ రథోత్సవం జరుగుతుంది. మూడు రోజుల పాటు మధ్యాహ్నం 2.30 నుండి సాయంత్రం 4.30 వరకు స్నపన తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహిస్తారు. రాత్రి 7.30 నుండి 8.30 వరకు అమ్మవారు నాలుగు మాడ వీధుల్లో ఊరేగింపుగా విహరిస్తారు.


ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఆలయ డెప్యూటీ ఈవో శ్రీ హరీంధ్రనాథ్, అర్చకులు శ్రీ బాబుస్వామి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Ponnakalva Utsavam of Sri Govindaraja Swamy on 1st May

 




On the occasion of Chitra Pournami, Ponnakalva Utsavam of Sri Govindaraja Swamy will be held on May 1.


The procession will start at 6 AM from the temple and reach Ponnakalva Mandapam, where Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed followed by rituals.


The deity will reach Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor at 5 PM and return to the temple by 9:30 PM, marking the conclusion of the utsavam.
