TTD's New Mobile App Launched on Ugadi

Tirumala, 29 March 2017: To make the darshan, accommodation and donation process more transparent and handy for devotees of Lord Venkateswara, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao launched new mobile app in Tirumala on Wednesday on the auspicious day of Telugu Ugadi.

Named as "Govinda Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams" the app provides the mobile savvy devotees all the facilities to book darshan, accommodation, e-Hundi, e-Donation facilities with just the touch of a button on their mobile screen.

Speaking on this occasion, TTD EO said, the temple management is trying out all the ways and means to provide the best possible services to its pilgrims with more transparency and speed. "Our intention is to provide all the amenities to pilgrims in a hassle free way. Our IT wing along with TCS have brought significant changes in our most ambitious "Digital Tirumala" online booking system in the last one year and we are still finding out the best IT solutions. This mobile app facilitates the pilgrims to book darshan, accommodation and donation with finger touch. The pilgrim can use this app through our official web site and google apps with just few clicks", he added.

Adding further, the EO said, so far 1.33 crore people had darshan in Rs.300 through online and every day over 2000 rooms are released to book online for the same of devotees. "Similarly we want to further improve IT services for transparency", he maintained.

TTD Trust board member Smt Sudhamurthy said its a technology based pilgrim initiative and TTD is best utilising the IT services to provide hassle-free services to devotees.

Other board members Dr Hariprasad, Sri Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Sri Ananta, CIO Sri Sudhakar, IT wing chief of TTD Sri Sesha Reddy and others were also present.

Vellapandiyan under the banner ‘Vetrivel Saravana cinemas’ jointly with I B karthikeyan of ‘BIGPRINT Pictures’, the new-age -cop thriller ‘8 Thottakkal’ is directed by debutante Sri Ganesh, former assistant of Director Mysskin. The sharp-edged ‘8Thottakkal’ that has debutante Vetri and Aparna Balamurali of ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’ fame in the lead will be released on April 7th by Sakthivel under the banner ‘Sakthivel Film Factory’.

“I am very much happy to step into the Tamil film industry through ‘8 Thottakkal’, which is well built up by a young and energetic team. I play as a Journalist named Meera Vasudevan, who wants to live independently. Our Hero is a very silent person and I am the one who will be moving friendly with him during his bad times. HEMALAMBI PREDICTS MORE PROSPERITY AND HAPPINESS

Tirumala, 29 March 2017: The Hemalambi Ugadi predicts good rains, rices and happiness to be bestowed on humanity as per Telugu almanac Panchangam which was rendered in Tirumala temple on Wednesday as a part of Ugadi Asthanam.

After performing temple court to processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by his two consorts Sri Devi, Bhu Devi, Sri Viswaksena in Bangaru vakili, the TTD pundit rendered the forecasted results in Panchangam in the new year day of Telugu calendar.

Later speaking on this occasion TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao wished all the Telugu speaking devotees Ugadi Greetings and said TTD is committed to offer better services to pilgrims. "Even we are now planning to enhance the number of Srivari Seva volunteers who are enrolling online to 1000 from June 1 onwards", he added.

The EO also complimented Garden wing of TTD for making unique vegetable and floral structures including "Dasavaratara" in watermelon, grape roof, floral elephant, pineapple chariot etc. The devotees had a long day taking photographs and selfies in front of some of these structures which were arranged outside the temple in the front yard.
