Tiruppavai Discourses Commence from Dec 16th to Jan 14th 2018


Tirupati,15 December  2017: The holy Tiruppavai discourses as part of Dhanur Masam rituals of Vishnavites commenced at Annamacharya Kalamandir this evening.
SuchTiruppavai discourses to be rendered by prominent Dharmic pundits will be held at 195 locations across the country during the Dhanur Masam from December 16_2017 to January 14_2018.
Prominent pundit Sri Samudrala Ranganathan will render Tiruppavai discourse at the Asthana Mandapam at Tirumala, Sri V .Varadarajan will perform at the Asthana Mandapam of Sri PAT at Tiruchanoor Same way by Sri Chakravarti Ranganathan at  Annamcharya Kalamandir, Sri K Rajagopala at Sri Varadarajahswami temple Kt road .
Tiruppavai parayanams will be conducted by Sri Ranganathan at Gita Mandir(Ramnagar Quarters), Sri M Prabhakar Rao (Sripuram colony,Sri Malayala Sadguru seva samaj),Sri Devaraan(Sri Bhaktanjaneya temple Biragipattada),Smt Annapurna (Sri VT Tummalagunta )Sri Pavan Kumaracharyulu (Chandragiri Road Sri V T).They will perform parayanas daily between 7.00-8.00 amin the morning .

TTD has appealed to devotees of Tirumala, Tirupati, and surroundings of Chandragiri and Renigunta to participate in the holy Dhanurmasam Tiruppavai parayanams in a big number and get blessed.

Sri Sadhu Subramanya Shastri Jayanthi on 17th Dec

Tirupati,15 December  2017The TTD plans to celebrate the  Jayanti of  Sri Sadhu Subramanya Shastri  who translated the rock edicts ( inscriptions) of Tirumala and spread the glory of Lord Venkateswara worldwide on Dec 17
As part of celebrations, TTD officials will present flower tributes to the bronze statue of Sri Sadhu Subramanyam at SVETA Bhavan.

tri who worked as peshkar at Srivari Temple and also epigraphist had collected rock and copper plate inscriptions of yesteryears in the Temple and surroundings and also brought to light many sankeertans of saint poet Annamacharya from his copper plates.

TTD JEO INSPECTS SSD COUNTERS

Tirumala 15 December 2017 ; With just two days lefts for the prestigious and innovative scheme of issuing time slotted tokens to Sarva Darshan pilgrims also on the lines of Rs.300 and footpath pilgrims which is set to commence from December 18 to 23 on an experimental basis, the Tirumala JEO ii KS Sreenivasa Raju inspected the counters in Tirumala on Friday evening.
Speaking to media persons on this occasion the JEO said, TTD has deputed 80 senior officers, 300 employees, 75 Trilok and 50 Bank of Baroda employees to man the 117 counters located in 14 locations at Tirumala. "Following the feed back received from the pilgrims, we will take further initiative to implement this revolutionary scheme in February or March next in a full-fledged manner", he maintained. 
Adding further he said, based on the observations, we are contemplating to set up the Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) counters in Tirupati also to facilitate pilgrims to visit sub-temples in and around Tirupati. 
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME HELD:
Earlier, orientation programme to the deputed employees was held in Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala. The IT wing explained the issuance of SSD tokens to pilgrims through power point presentation. Ravindra Reddy explained the employees about the various arrangements made to them.
