Avadhruda Snanam Performed

Tirumala, 21 September 2018: The nine day annual brahmotsavams in Tirumala concluded with Avabhruda Snanam also known as Chakra Snanam on Friday morning.
Processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy and His concerts Sridevi and Bhudevi along with Sudarshana Chakram (Disc weapon of Vishnu) were rendered snapana tirumanjanam at Varaha Swamy temple on the banks of Swamy Pushkarini.
Large number of devotees gathered since early hours to take a holy dip in the waters of Pushkarini to get free from sins. The LED screens which were placed on the four sides of Nirali Mandapam located inside Swamy Pushkarini provided a clear live telecast of the entire event to devotees. Each time when bharati was rendered, the hill town reverberated to the chants of Govinda Nama by scores of pilgrims.
Later, the Sudarshana Chakra, which is believed as anthropomorphic form of lord, was immersed in the waters of Swamy Pushkarini at the auspicious hour. The devotees too took a holy dip at the moment.
