Recording of all 3091 Annamaiah Sankeertans Complete : OSD P Muniratnam Reddy



Tirupati, 14 November 2018: So far 3091 sankeertans of saint poet Annamaiah have been digitised into CDs, says OSD of SV Recording Project

He was unveiling a collection of Annamaiah sankeertans Sumasri produced by the SVR project at Annamacharya Kala mandir this evening. The CD waddy gets by popular singer Smt R Bullamma, TTD Asthana singer Garimella Balakrishna Prasad and GVNL Anil Kumar.

The artists were felicitated with  Srivari Theertha Prasadams and Shawl. The latest CD has been updated in the TTD website and devotees could access it freely.

OSD of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba project Acharya KJ Krishnamurthy, Superintendent of recording project Ramesh, Technicians Satish and Jagadish participated in the event.

Pushpayagam Performed with Religious Ecstasy













Tirumala, 14 November 2018: Grand and picturesque Flower showers on Lord Malayalapa swamy and His consorts as part of Annual Pushpa Yagam performed at Srivari temple today in the auspicious Shravana nakshatram of holy Kartheeka masam.

Fourteen varieties of flowers and 6 types of aromatic leaves were utilised in the unique festival of flowers performed annually on November 14 to cleanse temple of any ritualistic lapses done during year long festivities and utsavams.

The Pushpa Yagam conducted at the Kalyana mandapam within Sampangi Prakaram of Srivari temple from 1pm to 5pm was a spiritual feast to all devotees. Amidst recitation of all Vedas, flowers and aromatic leaves were showered Tons on the utsava idols of Malayappa and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi

As part of the Yagam, the God of flowers-Pulludu- was worshipped for 20 times and all Idols were immersed in flowers and scented leaves. The yagam came to an end with the procession of deities Bangaru Tiruchi on the four mada streets.

Later the EO Anil Kumar Singhal said the 15th century ritual was revived by TTD in 1980 for public good. In all 9 tons of flowers  from 20 donors ( five tons from Tamil Nadu two tons from Karnataka, AP, Telangana were received by TTD.

As part of the Yagam, Snapana thirumanjanam was performed for the utsava idols in the morning amidst chanting of Vedic mantras were presented Tulasi Malas.

The deputy director Srinivasulu of the Garden Department was grandly felicitated for his stellar role in procuring flowers and also generating flowers and scented leaves in tne local gardens.

Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Gopinath Jetti, ACVSO Sivakumar Reddy,Temple DyEO Harindranath, other officials and devotees participated in the event.

Sri Venkaiah Naidu Calls upon Trainee Civil Servants at Dr MCR HRD Institute to Ensure that Fruits of Development Reach Weaker Sections of Society





He paid glowing tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision of people-centred governance on the occasion of his birth anniversary today
Also complimented Dr MCR HRD Institute for emerging as one of the best academies for imparting training to public servants in India
Sri M Venkaiah Naidu, Hon'ble Vice President of India addressed 316 trainee civil servants attending 93rd Foundation Course, being conducted by Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana on behalf of LBS National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie and Dept. of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Govt. of India.
Sri Venkaiah Naidu, in his address, called upon Trainee Civil Servants to ensure that the fruits of development reach the weaker sections of society and that they feel there is a perceptible improvement in their quality of their lives. He stated that this is possible only if governance becomes corruption free, citizen-centric, and business friendly.
Continuing his address, Sri Venkaiah Naidu said that such issues as illiteracy, ill health, poor quality of education, lack of clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, poor urban planning, inadequate attention to environmental pollution, and a host of other issues continue to pose formidable challenges. He stated that whileformulation of policies is important in its own right in order to address the problems,the pressing need of the hour is their effective implementation by different wings of the Government.
Sri Venkaiah Naidu said that the people in the contemporary society are educated, aware of their rights, know about developments taking place elsewhere, and expect high quality of governance. “Administrators should, therefore, be receptive and willing to include the common man in decision making and in setting development agendas”, said Sri Venkaiah Naidu.
He said that All India Services and Central Civil Services have been playing a crucial role in national integration and national development. He opined that India’s growth story would gain the much required momentum and direction when all the Civil Services work together in unison, complementing and supporting each other, with their specific domain experiences and expertise.
On the birth anniversary Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, which is being celebrated today, Sri Venkaiah Naidu paid glowing tributes to his vision of a people-centred governance and his initiatives to make India a scientifically advanced nation.
He also referred to Sardar Patel who foresaw the importance of a competent civil servicefor the unity across the country.
He also remembered Stalwarts like Dr B R Ambedkar, Subhash Chandra Bose, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee for their ever-lasting legacy. “For these great leaders, public administration was an instrument for the larger objective of development and welfare of people. This is the role that civil services have been mandated to play, providing better services to the people, efficiently and effectively”, he stated.
Sri Venkaiah Naidu complimented Dr MCR HRD Institute for emerging as one of the best academies for training to public servants in India.
Earlier in his welcome address, Sri B P Acharya, Special Chief Secretary to Govt. of Telangana & DG, Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana said that the objective of the Foundation Course is to inspire each of the Officer Trainees for pursuit of excellence in their respective fields of work, as enshrined in the motto of the Civil Services from Chapter – 2 of Bhagavad Gita “YogahKarmasuKaushalam”, which means Excellence in work is Yoga. He said that the Foundation Course comprises 316 trainee civil servants, drawn from 21 different All IndiaServices and Central Civil Services who belong to 26 different States of the country.
Sri Venkaiah Naidu presented Rolling Shields for the best Trek and Village Visit Presentations.
