Kumaradhara Teertha Mukkoti Held at Tirumala











Tirumala, 19 Feb. 19: The annual Kumaradhara Mukkoti took place in Tirumala on Tuesday.

Of the 12 important Muktiprada theerthas in Tirumala, Kumaradhara is considered to be one. This torrent festival usually falls on the auspicious day of Magha Pournami.

Significance:

Kumaradhara Theertham is believed to be the place where Lord Kumara, the divine commander of Devas, took penance after killing the demon named Tarakasura.

While It is also believed that a devotee of Lord Vishnu lost his way in the hills and started meditating. Lord Vishnu appeared before him and asked to take a bath in this pond. This holy dip transformed the man into a sixteen year old boy and the pond came to be known as Kumara Theertham.

Important Resolution During TTD Board Meeting





Tirumala, 19 Feb. 19: The TTD Trust Board under the Chairmanship of Sri P Sudhakar Yadav has taken some important resolutions during the board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.

Later the chairman briefed the media on the important decisions. 

@ To sanction Rs.36.50crores to A1 Facility and Property Managers Pvt.Ltd.for a period of 3 years towards FMS services in southern area and Aswini hospital in Tirumala.

@ To sanction Rs.17.50crores to Kalpataru for a period of 3 years towards FMS services in Eastern part of Tirumala cottages.

@ To sanction Rs.8.50crores to Padmavathi for a period of 3 years towards FMS services in the cottages located on Western side.

@ Sanction of tenders worth Rs.28.50qqcrores towards improvements of Sri Padmavathi and Sri Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapams.

@ Towards special development works in Sankumitta Cottage area Rs.5.15crores has been sanctioned.

@ An amount of Rs.12.50crores sanctioned towards the construction of kitchen block on the Eastern side of Panchajanyam Rest House.

@ Conversion of 76 houses in F type quarters as suites at Rs.3.65crores to accommodate potu workers.

@ Additional Pilgrims Amenities Complex near B type quarters at a cost of Rs.47.44crores.

@ Extension of sanitation services of Sulabh International to one more year.

@ To meet the water requirements of Tirumala, construction of additional pipe line from Kalyani Dam stage 1 near Srinivasa Mangapuram to stage 2 at Srivarimettu at a cost of Rs.8.50crores.

TTD Approves 2019-20 Budget for ₹ 3116.25 Cr








Tirumala, 19 February 2019: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has approved annual budget for the financial year 2019-20 at Rs.3116.25crores.

The sources of funds includes hundi collections, interests on investments, darshanam receipts, sale of human hair, prasadams, accommodation and Kalyana Mandapam receipts, arjitha sevas.

While the utilization of funds included engineering works, propagation of Hindu sanatana dharma, FMS and Sanitation, Vigilance and Security, Hospitals and Education.

Pournami Garuda Seva Observed












Tirumala, 19 Feb. 19: The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva was observed by TTD in Tirumala on Tuesday evening.

The processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy varu took out a celestial ride Garuda Vahanam between 7pm and 9pm.

Devotees thronged four mada streets to have darshanam of Lord on Garuda Vahanam.

AP Minister Sri Adinarayana Reddy, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Board Members Sri Rudraju Padmaraju, GSS Sivaji, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Temple DyEO Sri Haridranath, Peishkar Sri Ramesh and others took part.

KCP Donates ₹ 2 Lakhs Worth Cement to TTD





Tirupati, 19 Feb. 19: The prominent Cement maker of Krishna District M/s KCP group has donated initial production cement in their new plant unit-2at Jaggaiahpeta, 540 cement bags worth 2 lakhs to the TTD.

Senior marketing manager of KCP group Sri Devendra Reddy from the DPW stores of Tirupati handed over the products to EE-1 Sri Krishna Reddy.

TTD DyEE Sri Murali Krishna, AE Sri Chandrasekhar and others participated.

Grand Conclusion of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple Gloat Festival










Tirupati, 19 Feb. 19: The five day annual float festival (Teppotsavam) of Sri Govindaraja Temple concluded with grand performing of special pujas on Tuesday evening.

As part of festivities snapana Thirumanjanam was performed to the utsava deities in the morning and taken around the Pushkarani in the float in the evening for seven rounds. Thereafter the deities of Sridevi, Bhudevi and Sri Govindaraja Swamy were taken in a procession on the Mada streets.

The artists of HDPP, and Annamacharya project presented bhajans and Bhakti sangeet programs on the occasion.

Spl. Grade DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Udaya bhaskar Reddy, Temple Supdt Sri Srihari, temple inspector Sri Krishna murthy other officials participated.
