Vijay Sethupathi Appreciates Team "A"





Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi launched theatrical trailer of Nithin Prasanna and Preethi Asrani starrer unique thriller “A” recently and wished the entire team all the success. Meanwhile, the team went all the way to Mumbai to thank Vijay Sethupathi for his support for the film. The versatile actor watched trailer and other content of the film and appreciated the team for coming up with a unique thriller. Pumped up with Vijay’s good words about the film, the team is promoting “A” vigorously.


Directed by Ugandhar Muni and produced by Geetha Minsala under the banner of Avanthika Productions, all the promotional content related to the film got massive response. The film is gearing up for grand release on March 5th through PVR Pictures.

Reidandi Pontiff Offers Prayers at Srivari Temple









Tirumala,26 Feb ,2021: Tridandi Sri Sri Sri Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swami  on Friday morning offered prayers at the Srivari temple in Tirumala.

The pontiff was received at Mahadwaram by TTD  Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and Archakas.

After Darshan, he was presented Srivari Thirtha Prasadams by Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy at Ranganayakula Mandapam.

Speaking to the media outside the temple he said Lord Venkateswara alone is capable of saving humanity from pandemic Corona.

He hailed the Indian temples as citadels of dharma and treasure troves of ancient cultures and heritage supporting present day art forms and traditions cum practices.

He said grandeur of temples promotes the well-being  of the society

Commenting on attacks on some temples like Ramathirtha in AP he termed it as unfortunate and sought Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy to initiate measures for development of facilities like rest houses etc at that temple. ''If temples are good, humanity will sustain and prosper", he added.

Mother language is like Mother’s milk: Governor

Hyderabad, Feb 26: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday equated learning in mother tongue in initial years of childhood to giving mother’s milk to the new born baby. Since both will have immense positive and vibrating effect on the well being of the children in their entire life.

She stated that respecting, loving and promoting mother language is nothing but respecting and loving our own mother.

The Governor was participating as the chief guest at the International Mother Language Day, organized by the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapally, and Desiya Chintanai Kaghagam.

Highlighting the importance of learning in the mother tongue in the childhood, she said that research has concluded that a child’s brain has tremendous scope for absorption in its formative years and learning through the mother tongue will immensely help children to grasp imagine, retain better.

“In case of mother tongue, first we develop the competence by listening and express our feelings through own words. Afterwards we learn to read and write. This ideal sequence is not possible to maintain while learning the other language, wherein we first learn to read and write and their other things”, she said.  

She declared that there is no alternative to mother tongue.

“It is paining me to know that some youngsters are not able to speak correctly either in their mother tongue or in English. The precise reason for this is non importing of learning in mother tongue in the initial years. If a children are taught in their mother tongue during the initial years, they could be able to learn the other languages quite easily”.

She said that the languages are the most powerful instrument of preserving and developing tangible and intangible heritage, and the effort to promote the dissemination of mother tongues will contribute to linguistic diversity and multilingual education.

She appreciated the organizers for celebrating International Mother Language Day like this as the celebrations like this will help in reducing the extinction of languages and promote the utility and spread of linguistic diversity and in turn has an immense potential to contribute for the Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

The International Mother Language Day was organized by the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapally, and Desiya Chintanai Kaghagam.

Kumaradhara Mukkoti Cancelled Due to Covid


Tirumala, 26 Feb. 21: In view of Covid guidelines, TTD has cancelled Kumaradhara Theertha Mukkoti on February 27.

 

As the Centre has not yet relaxed Covid norms related to water bodies, TTD has cancelled the torrent fete. The pilgrims are also not allowed.

 

While the monthly Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed on February 27 between 7pm and 9pm.
