Andal Godai Malas Decked to Mula Virat





On the auspicious occasion of Goda Parinayotsavam on Sunday, the Andal Sri Goda garlands brought from Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple (Sri GT) in Tirupati were decorated to the presiding deity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

 

It's a tradition that every year, Goda Malas are brought from Sri GT to Sri Pedda Jeeyar Mutt in Tirumala.

 

After performing special pujas to these divine garlands were brought in a procession from Pedda Jeeyangar Mutt to Tirumala temple amidst Mangala Vaidyas and decked to Mula Virat.

 

Both the Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, Spl Gr DyEO Sri Rajendrudu, Tirumala Temple DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu, Temple Peishkar Sri Sri Hari, VGO Sri Bali Reddy and others were also present.

 

Kakaralli Offered


On the auspicious Kanuma day, an interesting and unique ritual, “Kaka Bali” was observed inside the Srivari temple during the wee hours as per the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama.

 

Every year on this festival day, a special food offering is being rendered to Ananda Nilaya Vimana Venkateswara Swamy located in the inner prakaram of Tirumala temple.

 

On Sunday, during early hours, the archakas mixed turmeric and vermilion separately in cooked rice and threw it over Ananda Nilayam as a part of this celestial fete.

 

Temple officials participated in this event.

 

Protect Desi Cows for Future Generations - TTD Board Member





There is every need to save the cows and especially enhance Desi breeds for the sake of future generations, said TTD Trust Board member Sri Pokala Ashok Kumar.

 

The Kanuma festivities took place in SV Dairy Farm in Tirupati on Sunday. Speaking on the auspicious occasion he said, TTD has taken up various Go Samrakshana programmes in recent times to protect cows including Gudiko Gomata, Goadharita Vyavasayam, Govinduniki Goadharita Naivedyam, Go Puja in every temple, Panchagavya Products, Navaneeta Seva, Go Mandiram at Alipiri, development of research centre at Palamaner Gosala and many more. He called upon everyone to know about the significance of Gomata in Hindu Sanatana Dharma and take oath to protect cows.

 

CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti said Go puja on Kanuma is one of the most ancient festivities in India. He urged everyone not to forget the roots of our Dharma while marching ahead in Tech-savvy world.

 

Earlier special pujas were performed to Sri Venugopala Swamy followed by Go puja Mahotsavam. The entire premises was spruced up in a traditional manner to match the occasion.

 

Gosala Director Dr Harnath Reddy and other staffs were also present.

Peruveta Utsavam Held in Ekantham










 The Paruveta Utsavam was observed in Ekantam in Tirumala temple on Sunday evening.

 

Due to Covid restrictions, this festival of mock hunt took place in Kalyanotsava Mandapam.

 

The processional deities of Sri Malayappa and Sri Krishna Swamy were brought from Srivari temple to Kalyanotsavam Mandapam.

 

After rendering Vedic hymns, Annamacharya kritis and Harikatha, the priests on behalf of Sri Malayappa performed the mock hunt by throwing the weapon on to the wild beasts thrice.

 

The Garden wing of TTD has recreated a forest set up with wild animals to match the occasion.

 

Later the deities were taken back to the temple.

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and temple officials were also present.

Goada Parinayam Held in Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple

 The celestial Goda Parinayotsavam was held in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple in Tirupati on Sunday evening.

 

The Paruveta Utsavam will be observed on January 17 in Ekantam.

 

Special Grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu, AEO Sri Ravi Kumar Reddy and others were present.
