he basic tenets of Vedic Sciences are embedded in the sankeertans of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, says prominent Telugu writer and orator Dr D Yuvashakti.

 

Participating in the literary convention organised by TTD as part of the 614th Jayanti of saint-poet Annamacharya on Friday at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram on the theme of ‘Sri Rama in Annamaiah sankeertan’ he said the summary of all Vedic mantras was ingrained in Sri Venkateswara mantras and Annamaiah sankeertans had promoted all deities in his works.

 

The cultural programs, Harikatha and vocal concerts were held by artists of Annamacharya projects both at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram and Mahati auditorium as part of the celebrations, which allured the audience.

The TTD-run Super Speciality Hospital of SVIMS has received Rs. five crore worth state of art medical equipment donated jointly by "Doctors for You"(DFY), a forum of medical students and doctors along with HDFC.

 

TTD Trust Board Chairman and Chancellor of SVIMS, Sri YV Subba Reddy who took part in the event at the hospital premises in Tirupati on Friday complimented the two firms for coming forward to make the largesse which will be of great use to the needy to provide sophisticated medication. He said, under the instructions of the Honourable CM of AP, Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) is absorbed into TTD and huge scale improvements have been brought up with a noble intention to make the Hospital the best Medicare destination to the poor and needy.

 

The TTD Board Chief said, as part of its CSR program, both the HDFC and DFY have chosen SVIMS to donate ₹5 crore worth of medical equipment. The equipment included 10 high-end multi- para monitors, 20 mid-range multi-para monitors and 50 pulse oxy meters, 10 ventilators one neo-natal ventilator, 25 dialysis machines, 2 ultrasound machines and many other hi-fi medical gadgets.

 

Deputy CM of AP Sri Narayana Swamy, local MP Dr Gurumurthy, local legislator Sri B Karunakar Reddy, Mayor Dr Sireesha, JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, SVIMS Director Dr Vengamma, DFY Director Dr Rajat Jain, HDFC Cluster Head and Vice President Sri Srikanth Reddy were also present.

The procession of Sri Kalyan Venkateswara Swami on the Golden chariot as part of ongoing annual Vasantotsavam fete at Srinivasa Mangapuram temple was a cynosure to devotees on Friday evening.

 

Besides daily Kainkaryams, TTD organised Snapana Tirumanjanam for utsava idols in the afternoon. Later in the evening the deities paraded on Swarna Ratham on mada streets and blessed the devotees.

 

Temple Special Grade DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Gurumoorthy, Superintendent Sri Chengalrayalu, Temple Archaka Sri Balaji Rangacharyulu were also present.
