He visited the Ayurveda Pharmacy, Ayurveda College and hospital run by the TTD and interacted with the students and faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion he said there are 31 Ayurveda institutions across the country conducting major research for new formulations and said the Union Government would whole-heartedly support the R&D efforts by the SV Ayurveda college.
JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Principal of SV Ayurveda College Dr Murali Krishna, Vice-Principal Dr Sundaram and Dr Sri Durga were also present.

Participating as chief guest at the 70th anniversary of the Sri Padmavati Women's Degree and PG College on Monday, the JEO said TTD was the only institution in the country, which strived to promote education besides Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
She said the SPWDPG College had recently bagged the NAAC recognition and thanked the lecturers, staffs, students and others who made it possible.

She said the students of TTD educational institutions particularly the SPWDPG college has a unique recognition of the stellar teaching environment, expert faculty etc.
Another guest, Professor Mohammed Hussein, Registrar of SV University recalled the glory of Taxila University and the Vedic science which had knowledge on nano technology, Aeroplanes, missiles and Sun. He appealed to students to take cue from Swami Vivekananda and achieve their goals in studies.

He said a separate canteen would be operated for SVIMS patients, their attendants, doctors and others and steps will be taken for the modernisation of the RO water plant at the Boys hostel.
He also sought suggestions and proposals from UG and PG students on how good they could develop their hostels.
He also inspected the shelters for patients, canteens outside SVIMS, officers canteen, general ward dining hall, boys and girls hostel, PG hostel and Padmavati hospital canteen and directed officials for keeping it clean, green and hygienic.
