Ankurarpana Held for Pavitrotsavams

The Ankurarpana for the annual Pavitrotsavams was held at Vasanta Mandapam in Tirumala on Sunday.

Later related Vaidika rituals were carried out in Yagashala at Sampangi Prakaram.

The annual Pavitrotsavams will be conducted from August 8-10.

TTD Board Chief and Eo Invites Maha CM and Deputy CM for Bhoomi Puja on 21st August

The Honourable CM of Maharashtra Sri Ekanath Shinde and Deputy CM Sri Devendra Fadnavis were invited by TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and the EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Saturday at Mumbai, for the Bhoomi Puja of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple scheduled to be held at Navi Mumbai on August 21.

Both the CM and Deputy CM of Maha Government expressed their pleasure to take part in the Bhoomi Puja. Later the Vedic pundits offered Vedaseervachanam to both the dignitaries followed by presenting of Theertha Prasadams.

It may mentioned here that the Maharashtra Government has allotted 10 acres of prime land, whose market value is estimated to be about 500 crore, to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple at Ulve near Navi Mumbai a few months ago.

The Managing Director of Raymond Group, Sri Gowtham Singhania has come forward to bear the entire cost of the construction of the temple which is estimated to be Rs. 60-70crores.

Vengamamba Statue At MR Pali Circle Garlanded

The two-day long celebrations of 205th Vardhanti Utsava of Tarigonda Matrusri Vengamamba concluded on Saturday.

The festivities of valedictory fete included sangeet programs at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram and garlanding and floral tributes to Sri Vengamamba statue in MR Palli by Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma, Director of Annamacharya Project.

Highlights of cultural programs in Kala Mandiram were sangeet concert by Sri P Srinivasa Kumar and Sri Shyam Kumar team in morning and Harikathas by Smt Sitalakshmi team in the evening followed by sangeet concert by Annamacharya Project artists Smt R Sushila, Smt T Tajovathi.

Tarigonda Vengamamba project coordinator Dr C lata and others were present.
