Sri Purandaradasa Aradhana Held Tirumala with Spiritual Fervour

 The Aradhana Mahotsavam of Kannada Sangeetha Pitamaha,  Saint Poet Sri Purandhara Dasa was held with utmost spiritual fervour with hundreds of Dasaparas hailing from Karnataka, Tamilnadu apart from twin Telugu states having participated in the event at Tirumala on Saturday evening.


On the auspicious occasion, Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi reached Narayanagiri Gardens after Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and unjal seva was performed on the occasion. The Special Officer of the Dasa Project Sri Ananda Theerthacharya briefed about the impeccable services offered by Saint Purandhara Dasa to the world of Bhakti through his 4.75lakh sankeertans. 


Later a team of Dasaparas presented some versatile kritis of Sri Purandhara Dasa on the occasion starting with Guru Vandana, followed by Bandalo Mahalakshmi, Ba ba Ranga, Yadava Nee Ba Yadukula Nandana, Sakalagrahaphala Neene and many more in a melodious manner enthralling the devotees in the ocean of Bhakti. Another team of Dasaparas presented dance ballet to each and every sankeertan and allured the devotees.


HH Sri Sujayanidhi Theertha Swamy of Sripadaraja Mutt of Mulabagula in Karnataka graced the occasion and rendered Anugraha Bhashanam. He recalled the great Nama Sankeertana service offered by Sri Purandharadasa with his soulful Sankeertans. "He is immortal since we are all rendering the Bhagavannamas through his Sankeertans even after several centuries and the same will continue in future also", he said.


Later he was presented with the prasadams of Srivaru. The seer offered blessings to JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi and other participants. 


VGO Sri Bali Reddy, Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari, Parpattedar Sri Uma Maheshwar Reddy and others were also present.

HDPP and SVBC Executive Meeting Held

The HDPP Executive Committee has decided to appoint renowned spiritual speaker and scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Kotewara Rao as the Advisor for TTD Dharmic programmes said, TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy.


Chairing the HDPP and SVBC Executive Committee meetings held at Sri Padmavathi Rest House in Tirupati on Friday along with the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, the Chairman later briefed on some of the important decisions taken during the respective meetings. Some excerpts:


To take Hindu Dharma Prachara activities in a wide manner in the remote villages involving rural youth. More such programmes to be designed.


To provide necessary Bhajana and kolatam materials to the villagers to organise Bhajana and Kolatam programmes.


To conduct Yagas and Homams in every place seeking the divine intervention for the well-being of humanity.


As TTD has been conducting various Parayanams from the past three years for the sake of global devotees, the Committee felt the need of a proper guidance from a renowned person who is versatile in this area and referred the name of Brahmasri Chagani Koteswara Rao. 


SVBC BOARD DECISIONS:


To provide more qualitative live programmes on SVBC since they have global following


To telecast the pilgrimage experience of the devotees who are thronging to Tirumala through trek routes, and other mode of transportation from across the country and even overseas


To enhance devotional quotient among the youth, programmes like "Adivo Alladivo" will be telecasted even in Kannada and Hindi SVBC.


Akin to Telugu and Tamil SVBC, the Kannada and Hindi channels will also have to be popularized among the public by designing and telecasting unique devotional programmes. 


To show the world the wide range of medical services offered by TTD to general public as well devotees through SVBC, BIRRD, Sri Padmavathi Children's Hospital etc.as well medical advise on how to diseases and related information will be given by the expert doctors from TTD hospitals which will be telecasted by SVBC

Donation to SVBC

On behalf of Hyderabad-based EVSR Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. Sri Raghavendra donated Rs. 10,00,116 to SVBC Trust.


Similarly on behalf of Bengaluru-based KC Reddy Sarojamma Welfare Foundation, SVBC Board member Smt Vasanta Kavita donated Rs. 2' lakhs to SVBC Trust.


The DDs for the respective donations were handed over to TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy at Sri Padmmavathi Rest House in Tirupati.





Two-Day Agama Sadas Concludes in SVVU









The two-day National Seminar on Agamas concluded in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University in Tirupati on Friday evening.


The TTD-run varsity has organised the Sadas wherein Agama scholars from across the nation participated with enthusiasm. 


For the valedictory ceremony, one of the chief priests of Tirumala Temple Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu graced and spoke on the importance of Balalayam in Agamas. He appreciated the efforts of SVVU for organising the two day national seminar on important topics like Agamas, Balalayam, other rituals etc. 


Vice-chancellor Sri Rani Sadasiva Murthy said the outcome of the sadas will be brought out in the form of a book for the sake of future purpose. 


Later both the VC and chief priest inaugurated a library dedicated in memory of Vedic scholar Sri Agnihotram Srinivasacharulu.  


Renowned Vaikhanasa Agama Scholar Sri Varadan, Panchratra Scholar Sri T Srinivasan, Saivagama Scholar Sri Ganapati Sharma were awarded "Agama Kalpadruma" titles on the occasion.

The Nama Smarana is the best way to attain salvation in Kaliyuga said, Sri Suvidyendra Theertha Swamy of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Bengaluru.


Karnataka Sangeetha Pitamaha, Sri Purandhara Dasa Aradhana Mahotsavams commenced at Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Friday under the aegis of Dasa Sahitya Project of TTD.  


During his Anugraha Bhashanam on the occasion, the Pontiff said, it is great to know that TTD has been observing the Aradhana Mahotsavams of Sri Purandhara Dasa in a big way. 


The Project Special Officer Sri Ananda Theerthacharyulu speaking on the occasion said, Sri Purandhara Dasa penned 4.75lakh keertans and gave it to the society. Later he presented Srivari Prasadams to the Seer. Hundreds of Dasaparas participated in this fete.


On January 21, Dasa Padagalu will be rendered in Narayanagiri Gardens after 6pm. The three-day fete concludes in Tirumala on January 22.
