ANKURARPANAM PERFORMED FOR SRI KODANDARAMA SWAMY PAVITROTSAVAMS

The Ankurarpanam ceremony for the annual Pavitrotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, Tirupati, scheduled from August 8 to 10, was performed in a traditional manner on Friday evening.

As part of the rituals, Senadhipati Utsavam, Medhini Puja, Mrutsangrahanam and Ankurarpanam were conducted as per Agama traditions.

Pavitrotsavams are observed every year as a ritual of purification to atone for any inadvertent lapses that may occur in the temple's daily worship and rituals due to human error.

On August 8, Pavitra Pratishtha and Sayanadhivasa will be performed in the Yagasala. Pavitra Samarpana and other Vedic rituals will take place on August 9, while the three-day festival will conclude with Purnahuti on August 10.

TTD JEO Dr. A. Sharath, Deputy EO Smt. Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri K. Srinivasulu Reddy, Chief Priest Sri Anand Kumar Dikshitulu, Temple Inspectors Sri Suresh Babu and Sri Harikrishna, priests, Srivari Sevaks and devotees participated in the ceremony.
