Tirupati, 18 May 2016: On the fifth day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam, the deity of Sri Govindaraja Swamy was taken in a palanquin during 'Pallaki Utsavam' performed on wednesday.
The idol of Lord Govindaraja was colourfully decked up with rare jewels in tune with the charm and elegance associated with the flower-bedecked palanquin.
The idol was seated on a golden throne in the palanquin and carried by the palanquin bearers in tune with the rhythmic beats of the percussionists.
H.H.Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala Mutt, H.H.Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Local Temples DyE.O Smt Varalakshmi, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadeeswara Reddy, Garden Supdt Sri Srinivas and large number of devotees took part in this function.
