Tiruchanur, 25 June 2016: The 3-day Avatarotsavam at Sundara Raja Swamy Sannidhi at Thiruchanoor Sri Padmavathi Thayar temple commenced in Tiruchanoor on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Thirumanjanam was performed to the moolavar Sri Sundararajaswamy and Sri Padmavathi Devi. Special Kalyanotsavam took place for Sri Padmavathi Devi between 10.30am to 12 noon. Thereafter, Thirumanjanam was performed to utsava moorthy of Sri Sundararajaswamy and his consorts Bhudevi and Sridevi with milk, curd, sandal paste, and variety of flowers and fruits. Oonjal seva took place in the evening followed by Pedda Sesja Vahana Seva around the four Mada streets.
On the second day on Sunday, the Lord will take pleasure ride on Hanumantha Vahanam and this festival will conclude on June 27 with Garuda Vahana Seva in the evening on Monday.
