TTD Photo Exhibition Attracts Huge Crowds

Vijayawada, 14 August 2016:The Photo Exhibition put up at the TTD model temple complex on the PWD grounds of Vijayawada as part of the Krishna Pushkaram has attracted huge foot falls since yesterday.

 

The exhibition comprised of a pictorial journey of the glory of Sri Venkateswara narrating the historical, spiritual and mythological significance of the worlds hoariest Srivaishnavite shrine.

 

The exhibition also showcased the vessels and plates utilised in the daily rituals at Srivari Temple besides other puja material and also the colorful pictures of the deity in all utsava and daily rituals extolling the devotional stance and spiritual glory of Tirumala. Most of the pictures were organised in separate wings and galleries. Among the pictorial display was the journey of development and transformation of Tirumala shrine during last 80 years including, mada streets development, photos of bygone days, Travel by palakkis (dolis), special feature on the Sopana Margam (foot walkers path) from Alipiri.

 

Other prominent photo display included the Vaikuntham queue lines, Anna Prasadams, Idols in Srivari Temple, Various rest rooms and guest houses at Tirumala. Swami Puskarini and the  thousand pillar mandapams, shops and other around temple in the past etc.

 

They also included special features on daily rituals performed at Srivari temple, variety of anna prasadams, dharmic programs of TTD like Shubhapradam, Mana Gudi, Godavari Pushkaralu at Rajahmundry-2015, Srinivasa-Padmavati parinayametc.

 

The photos ofall jewellery of the main idol from  head to the toe were a major hit with devotees  feeling blesseed to view the gold and diamond jewellery models of the lord at close quarters. The thirthas  at Tirumala, Srivari Brahmotsavam, photos of Chief Minister and other VIPs in Srivari Seva at Tirumala. The life size flexis of utsava idols of Tirumala deity and others also  were a major attraction.

 

The on the directions of TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO Sri K S Sreenivasa Raju, the TTD PRO Dr T Ravi and team  had put up the  photo exhibition to enlighten the pushkaram devotees  on the glory and activities underway at Tirumala on behalf of the TTD.
