SRIVARI SALAKATLA BRAHMOTSAVAM FROM OCTOBER 3-11

Tirumala, 10 September 2016: One of the holiest festivals of Tirumala, the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams will commence this year fromOctober 3-11 with the inaugural ritual of Ankurarpanam on October 2nd evening.

As part of the Brahmotsavam, the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam, the agama ritual of cleaning the Srivari temple be performed on September 27.  It is a well known fact that Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam is performed four times in a year - Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadasi - to set right any lapses as per Agama traditions.

In view of the heavy crush of devotees for the Brahmotsavams the TTD has suspended the daily arjita sevas like Visesha Puja, Astadala Padmaradhana, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, Tiruppavada, arjita Kalyanotsavam, Unjal seva, Vasanthotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara sevas.

All devotees who had purchased advance arjita Brahmotsavam tickets will be allowed to participate in certain vahana seas of the ongoing Brahmotsavam event. Similarly routine facilities like advance booking of rooms, special darshan for aged, handicapped,lactating mothers etc will also stand suspended.

All the facilities like rooms and darshan etc will be provided to devotees on first come first served basis during the period of Brahmotsavams. The TTD also appealed to devotees to not throw coins at the vahana seas on the Mada streets as it would injure  those on the Vahanas. TTD has roped in Srivari Sevaks, Scouts and Guides, Additional police personnel to serve the large number of devotees coming for the  celestial event.

The SVBC channel has made elaborate arrangements to provide comprehensive coverage for the events like Snapana Thirumanjanam and all Vahana Sevas and has acquired ultra modern and hitech equipment for the same.
