Srinivasa Mangapuram, 21 February 2017: On the evening of the sixth day of Srivari Brahmotsavam, Lord Kalyana Venkateswara enthralled the devotees on the Gaja Vahanam. Elephant has been a vehicle of the Lord Kalyana Venkanna Swamy deity from time immemorial.
The richness of hindu mythology lies in its generosity to provide a respectable position of worship even for various species of fauna. Starting from Cow to Crow each of these creatures have a revered place in Hindu scriptures. Among those blessed creatures, the mighty elephant occupies a pride place being the vehicle of Goddess Laxmi Devi, the Consort of Lord Vishnu. To appease His consort as well to bless the devotees with prosperity lord takes a pleasure ride on Gaja Vahanam.
Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, DyEO Sri Vekataiah, AEO Sri Dhanajeyulu, ACVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, Suptd Sri Dinakar Raju, Sri Krishna Rao, Temple Inspector Sri Ramesh, Arjitham Inspector Sri Srinivasulu, Sri Guruswamy Reddy, Temple Staff and large number of devotees took part.
