Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple Gears up For The Big Fete of Lord Shiva






Tirupati, 23 February 2017: The renowned Lord Shiva temple of Sri Kapilateertham is geared up to host one of the most important religious fetes, Maha Sivarathri which will be observed with religious fervour in the temple on Friday.

LEGEND

According to temple legend sage kapila is believed to have appeased Lord Shiva and Parvathi and as a boon, the Lord Himself manifested here as Kapileswara Swamy.

EO INSPECTION

In connection with Maha Shivarathri festival on Friday, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao inspected the arrangements for the big day. The EO directed the temple and vigilance officials to see that there no scope for any untoward incident due to heavy pilgrim influx as tens of thousands of devotees are being anticipated.

He also instructed the concerned to utilise the services of Srivari Seva volunteers in the best possible way in pilgrim crowd management, annaprasadam and water distribution etc. as the temple witnesses heavy turn out of devotees from wee hours to late hours on Friday.

He also instructed the health department to keep the premises clean and especially the environs of the Pushkarini of Kapilateertham. 


ONLY SARVA DARSHAN-TTD EO

In view of anticipated heavy pilgrim rush only sarva darshanam will be operated from 2:30am itself. "The devotees will be allowed for sarva darshan even during suprabhatam and abhishekam as nearly 40-50 thousand devotees are  expected", EO added.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said Rs.5 arjitha Seva ticket is also cancelled keeping in view the anticipated rush.
