Rakul Preet Singh Teaches English to 8th Grade students at Government High School Banjara Hills in support of the NGO

Teach For Change is an NGO working to empower high school students in grades 8th and 9th in Government schools with English and Leadership Competencies. The English program is delivered by passionate and committed volunteers from all walks of life who devote three hours every week to active classroom teaching. Teach For Change was founded by Actor Producer Lakshmi Manchu and Young Activist Chaitanya MRSK in 2014.

The volunteers who apply are screened to check their English proficiency, commitment and then trained and certified in the English Program before they engage with the students directly in the classrooms. Every Volunteer commits to this program for a minimum of one academic year.

The Teach For Change Program is designed, implemented, reviewed and certified by Cosmos Education Services the official TOEFL partner in India (Test Of English as Foreign Language). TOEFL is a standardized test that evaluates the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English and is considered as one of the most ideal test for testing your English language proficiency. Depending on this test score one will be eligible for getting admission in any college or university in the world.  

Through our program, every student, at the end of the academic year is certified by TOEFL Primary Certificate.

Rakul Preet Singh Supports Teach For Change:

Tollywoods Leading Lady Rakul Preet Singh today pledged her support to Teach For Change and taught a English class to the students of 8^th Grade at Government High School Banjara Hills. The Government High School, Banjara Hills is one the schools enrolled in Hyderabad under the Teach For Change Program. She transacted a module where she taught opposite words and conducted a English speaking activity for the students. She was here to Spread the message of “Be the Change, Teach for Change”! 

Calling all Interested Applicants:

Teach For Change currently has its presence in Hyderabad in over 28 schools and is seeking volunteers for this academic year, 2017-18.

Interested volunteers could visit our website www.teachforchange.in and send in their application form. The volunteers would be called for a screening session post which they would undergo one week training and certified in TOEFL Primary at the end of the training post which they will engage with kids and teach them for one academic year starting this June.
