Extensive tour in Four Districts
In 2016-17 Telangana state has recorded highest purchase in last fifteen years. Commissioner of Civil Supplies C.V. Anand said in this year Kharif and Rabi season paddy procurement target could reach 60 Lakh Metric Tons. In Kharif season 17 Lakh Metric Tons and in Rabi season till now 30 Lakh Metric Tons of Paddy has been purchased.
Telangana would stand as an ideal state as nowhere in the country only in our state online payments is made to farmers. In last Rabi season Rs. 2600 Crores and in Rabi season till now Rs. 2200 Crores have been paid to farmers through online. Till the end of Rabi season another Rs. 5000  Crore would be paid to farmers.
Commissioner of Civil Supplies C.V. Anand on Friday made an extensive tour in four districts – Bhoopalpalli, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jagityal,. Commissioner held review meetings with concern district Collectors, Joint Collectors, FCI, Civil Supplies Department and Marketing Officials.
Commissioner  C.V. Anand visited Par Boiled Rice Mills in Dhanwad village in Kataram Mandal of Bhoopalpalli Dist. and  in Peddapalli district. Commissioner also inspected Paddy Purchase centers in Durshed village of Karimnagar Dist. and intervened with famers.
Commissioner warned that strict actions would be taken against officials if any irregularities in Gunny bags found. Gunny bags are carried to agriculture lands and other places. He said Irregularities came to his notice and mainly in Paddy Purchase Centers under Primary Agriculture Cooperation Societies (PACS) in Warangal and Jangaon areas..
Commissioner even warned them ff Gunny bags not utilized according the instruction the guilty found paddy purchase centers would be black listed and criminal cases would booked on them.
Efforts are been made to make Telangana Kerosen free state, and every individual eligible will be provided gas connection under ‘Deepam’ scheme.
In taking the consideration of the transport problems from next year plan would be set up facilitate transport from all the districts according the paddy production. This responsibility will be given the concern district Joint Collectors.
Storage problem in FCI godowns is causing difficulty. We will meet FCI officials in state level take to sort out this problem.
Reforms are been taken in Ration shops to give improved services to the poor people. Commissioner  C.V. Anand said in two or three months these reforms will take effect.

Commissioner said effective steps are taken to eliminate Benami dealers. Out of 17000 Ration shops in Telangana about 800 Ration shops are vacant due to suspensions, leaves, resignations of dealers. Efforts are been taken to fill the vacancy. Rationalization of Ration cards and shops is in progress. Steps are been taken to make one time policy in all the Ration shops and in one or two months E-pos system will be installed all over the state.
