Raindrops annual Mother' s Day Celebration - Special Screening of Baahubali 2 for Mothers of Anandam Old-Age Home

RAINDROPSS a renowned a youth based social organization from Chennai founded by Aravind Jayabal in 2011, is widely popular in delivering social awareness messages to the public through entertainment and media. Supporting education for less privileged children’s, women empowerment, feed the needy are the main areas where Raindropss being a beacon around. Music Director turned Producer A.R.Raihanah (Oscar winning music composer, A.R.Rahman's sister) is the Goodwill Ambassador of Raindropss.

Raindropss in association with Rakki Cinemas and Preethi Home Appliances have organized for Mothers day celebrations, a day out with the inmates of Anandam - A Free Home for Senior Citizens.  Anandam Oldage Home located in Ambattur provides free shelter, food and care to elders. The residents have no children and no source of income. There are 101 residents. All residents are in the age group 60 - 90. We have witnessed the joy and happiness of the grandma's there when we celebrate the mothers day with them every year. It makes them feel happy and stronger and give a ray of hope in a relationship and bonding when we celebrate with them. As we know hang out, movies and entertainment are part of our regular life but for them it's still a dream. We had given a thought of taking all the mother's out there in Anandam to a movie as a part of our mothers day celebrations to give them lifetime memory to cherish forever. When we asked the inmates of Anandam, unanimously their choice was to watch Baahubali - 2.  The Initiative will ensure that the elderly take back cherishable memories for their lifetime ever. A Special show has been organized for these loving souls on 13th May in Rakki Cinemas, Ambattur.
