Gokulastami Celebrations Touch the Sky in Sri Venkateswara Dairy Farm

Tirupati, 15 Aug. 17: The Sri Venkateswara Goshala donned the look of Gokulam and observed the celestial fete of Gokulastami in a jubilant manner on Tuesday.

The entire premises was decorated with pandals, floral chains, rangoli, mango leaves to give the festive look. On the other hand the cattle in the dairy farm were decorated in a colourful manner. Later Gopuja was performed.

As per Hindu Santana Dharma, Cow is regarded as the embodiment of three crore deities with each part representing the dwelling of each deity. The devotees were allowed to feed the cattle on this festive occasion.
Earlier special Abhishekam was performed to Sri Venugopalaswamy statue located in Goshala premises followed by Venu Nadam, nadaswaram, rendition if devotional songs, kolatam performance by bhajan troupes added the religious flavour.

Later prasadams were distributed to devotees. SV Goshala Director Dr Harnath Reddy supervised the arrangements.

GOKULASTAMI IN TTD TEMPLES

Meanwhile the festival of Janmastami was celebrated with utmost devotion in all the temples dedicated to Lord Krishna run by TTD.

The Krishna Swamy temple in Tiruchanoor, Sri Venugopalaswamy temple in Kapileswara Swamy temple and also in Karvetinagaram observed the fete in a grand manner.
