Governor holds bilateral talks with Nepal Prime Minister


 

Hyderabad, August 25: Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan held bilateral talks with Rt. Honourable Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal, during his visit to Hyderabad on Friday. Governor  hosted dinner in honour of the visiting Prime Minister of Nepal. Rt. Hon'ble Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal, his wife Dr. (Smt.) Arzu Rana Deuba and the entourage consisting of 40 members attended the dinner hosted by the Governor at  Taj Falaknuma Palace on Friday.

Later, Governor held one to one discussions with the Prime Minister of Nepal on various issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of Information Technology, eGovernance projects and other programmes implemented by the Telangana Government. Governor explained to the Prime Minister of Nepal on various eGovernance initiatives implemented by the State Government, such as Mee seva citizen services, RTA services, CARD (Computer Aided Registration of Documents) project, Municipal services etc. Governor also explained to the Nepal Prime Minister on the important initiatives taken up by the State Government in implementing irrigation projects such as Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bagiradha and the tree plantation programme of 'Haritha Haram' implemented by the Government on a large scale to increase the green cover.

Sri Kadiyam Srihari, Sri Md. Mahmood Ali, Dy. CMs of Telangana Government, Dr. K. Kesava Rao, Smt. K. Kavitha, Sri A.P. Jitender Reddy, Sri K. Visweshwar Reddy, Members of Parliament, Advisors to Government, Chief Secretary, DGP and other senior officers of the Government have attended the dinner programme held at Taj Falaknuma Palace.
