TTD Temples Closed Following Lunar Eclipse

Tirupati, 7 August 2017: The sub-temples under the control of TTD were closed on Monday evening by 4:30 pm following lunar eclipse.

It is a usual practice to close the main doors of the temples six hours prior to the eclipse as per agamas.

The famous shrines including Tiruchanoor, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Appalayagunta, Narayanavanam, Nagalapuram, Tondamanadu etc. which are under the umbrella of TTD were closed.

The main doors of these temples will again open during the wee hours on Tuesday followed by Punyahavachanam and Suddhi before commencing early morning kainkaryams. Later the devotees are allowed for darshan.
