Tirumala, 23 September 2017: The honourable CM of Andhra Pradesh, S N Chandrababu Naidu offered silk vastrams to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala temple on behalf of State Government. It is a usual practice to offer the presentation to the Universal Lord by Head of the State on the first day of annual brahmotsavams of Tirumala.
Earlier, according to temple tradition at Sri Bedi Anjaneyulu Swamy temple, the CM carried the traditional "Sare" over his head and entered Srivari temple through Mahadwaram amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by temple priests and vedic scholars.
Later the CM and his entourage offered prayers in the temple of Lord Venkateswara followed by Vedasirvachanam at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later he was presented with Sesha Vastram, Teertha Prasadams and lamination photo of Lord Venakteswara.
Ministers Amarnath Reddy, Manekayala Rao, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, JEOs KS Sreenivasa Raju,Pola Bhaskar, DIG Prabhakara Rao, CVSO Ake Ravikrishna, Temple DyEO Rama Rao, PeishkarRamesh and others took part.
