Delhi Social Welfare Minister pays visit to TSWR School


"We carry with us wonderful programmes to gift to our boys and girls in the state of Delhi" said Rajendra Pal Gautam, Minister for Social Welfare, Government of Delhi. The minister visited TSWR School, Gowlidoddi along with his high profile team. The team went around the school campus and interacted with the students and the teachers. "I am so impressed with the way the TSWREIS has been at the forefront in conducting a number of innovative programmes to realize the true potential of students from the most disadvantaged sections of the society, added the minister. The minister appreciated Dr RS Praveen Kumar for motivating the students to aim high in life despite wrenched conditions.    

Programmes like E-Plus Clubs, Summer Samurai Camps, Voice for Girls, School Councils, Super Students Lecture Series, Operation Blue Crystal Programme, Teaching Assistants and Mountaineering expeditions are worthy of emulation by all the educational institutions in the country said Krishan Kumar, Secretary to the Social Welfare Minister, Delhi.

Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREIS apprised the minister and his team of all the programmes being implemented with the support of government of Telangana. He thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the minister for Scheduled Caste Development Jagadish Reddy for sanctioning a major portion of the budget to the education of marginalized children. We would not have implemented these many programmes, if not for the solid support and vision of the Chief Minister. While thanking the Chief Minister, Dr Praveen Kumar said, an estimated 8 lakh marginalized children will join residential schools by year 2021 under the KG-PG Mission.
