Feast of Dance and Bhajans at Kalpavruksha Vahanam Fete







Tirumala, 26 September 2017: Aghora dance by 50 members of the Sri Maruti Nasik dolu team led by Sri Shivramakrishna performed in front of the Kalpavruksha vahanam from Rajanmundry won the hearts of the devotees on the mada streets. Aghora artists danced  to the drum beats with trishul around the artists adorning the role of gods-Brahma, Maheswara, Vinayaka etc. The cultural feast was organised by the artists of HDPP,Annamacharya project, and Dasa Sahitya.  

The 20 artists of Gudiyattam also presented Dappu vadyam with 4 big drums, 8 small drums and 4 talas at the vahanam.

Another team from Rajahmundry led by Smt Hemalatha of the Garudadrivasa Bhajana mandali presented the unique Sagara Mathanam depicting the Mahalakshmi, Kamadhenu and Kalpavruksha. 

The highlight of the vahanam procession was the legim display by  60 artists led by Sri Aravind Kapoor of the Sholapur, Dance by the Maharashtra. Dressed as gopikas with butter pots enthralled the devotees in the galleries. Chakka Bhajans and Kolatas were also part of the entourage of the Lord Malayappaswamy  at the four mada streets.
