Honourable Chief
Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has visited the NTPC Power Plant at
Ramagundam on Friday morning. Under NTPC power plants are being set up to
generate 4000 MW. As part of it, in the first phase construction of two plants
(2x800) 1600 MW has started. The CM has examined these works. NTPC Executive
Director Sri Dubey told CM that by 2020 May the first unit will be completed
and after six months, the second unit. The CM has asked the NTPC officials to
speed up the works and complete the plants as per schedule. Since in Telangana
state there is need for power other than the irrigation, it should be supplied
at the earliest. TS Genco CMD Sri D Prabhakar Rao has explained to the CM on
the construction of plants and coordination among the electricity
organisations. The CM said the government is ready to supply water required for
the plants and other help.
