IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao who is leading a
delegation to World Economic Forum 2018 Davos, addressed a meeting
of Telangana diaspora at Zurich.
Addressing the NRI’s of Telangana, Minister KT Rama Rao said,
“Telangana state has embarked on a journey to fulfill the aspirations on which
the state was formed and within a short span of three years, Telangana has
launched several path breaking initiatives.”
Minister KT Rama Rao highlighted the developmental projects
and initiatives taken up by the government of Telangana in past four years.
“Ensuring adequate irrigation facilities and addressing the issues related to
basic amenities are the main priorities for the government of Telangana,” he
added.
Minister Rama Rao thanked the diaspora members for showing
interest in development of Telangana and invited them to play an active role in
state’s progress. He said, “Non-resident Telanganites are the best brand
ambassadors for the state and should help bring in investors, new technologies
and best practices to Telangana.”
Also present at the meeting, Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan, talked
about the development works which were taken up by the government in Hyderabad
in the last three years. He remarked that under the progressive leadership of
Chief Minister KCR, Telangana is on the path of rapid development. He mentioned
that many developmental activities are being implemented successfully, thanks
to the guidance provided by Minister KT Rama Rao, who knows the pulse of the
people. Mayor Ram Mohan added that any feedback or suggestions from Telangana
NRIs are always welcomed.
Telangana NRIs, who travelled from Sweden, Germany, UK and
Switzerland to attend the meeting in Zurich, keenly listened as the Minister
spoke about the role of Telangana NRIs in the development of the state. They
also actively participated in a Q&A session at the end of the meeting.
Despite his busy schedule, Minister KT Rama Rao spent three hours for the
diaspora meeting and patiently answered all the questions highlighting the
government policies and schemes
