Over 3000 Dasaoaras Taje Part in Metlotsavam

Tirupati, 10 Jan. 18: The sacred Alipiri foot hills was abuzz with activity on Wednesday with over 3000 dasaparas trekking the 3600 plus steps singing the melodious bhajans of Kannada Haridasas.

Speaking on this occasion near Alipiri Padala Mandapam before commencing the sacred walkathon with Metlpuja during wee hours, the Special officer of Dasa Sahitya Project Sri PR Anandateerthacharya said, many saints, seers, philosophers, emperors earlier trekked this way and attained salvation. To continue their legacy, the Dasa Sahitya Project of TTD has been observing Metlotsavam every three months in a year from the past many years without interruption
