Kalyana Venkanna Rides Surya Prabha Vahanam

Tirupati, 12 February 2018: On Day 7 of Annual Brahmotsvam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Lord Venkanna rode on Surya Prabha Vahanam as Govardhanagiridhari avatar.

Caparisoned elephants teams of chakka bhajan, Kolata artists accompanied by drums and bhakti music charmed the devotees offering camphor harati all the way. 

Later in the day Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for the ustava idols of Venkanna and his consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi with milk, curd, honey, sandal, coconut water.

The lord will also be offered grand Unjal seva in the evening before the celestial Chandraprabha vahanam.

Local Temple DyEO Venkataiah, AEO Srinivasulu, Exe Engineer Manohan, DyEE Ramamurthy, Chief Kankana Bhattar Balaji Rangacharyulu, AE Nagaraju, AVSO Ganga Raju and others participated.

On Day 8 of the

Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Brahmotsavams, Rathotsavam will be performed on February 13 in the morning along the mada streets. Later at night Venkanna will ride on Aswa Vahanam,
