Kalyana Venkanna Trhrills Devotees on Rathotsavam










Tirupati, 13 February 2018: On Day 8, the penultimate day of Annual Brahmotsavam at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Lord Venkanna rode on colorfully flower decorated Ratham and thrilled the devotees.

Puranic lores say that Ratham was the embodiment of five elements of Body, soul, Brain, heart, and stamina (indriyas). Later in the evening  the utsava deities will be given Unal seva and Ashwa vacant procession at night.
  
Vedic scripts symbolize Aswa (horse) with five elements of the body whose domination enhanced Moksha and Karyasiddhi in life. Lord Venkanna on the Ashwa vahanam signified domination of Indriyas for success in achieving life goals.

The TTD cultural wing, HDPP organized kolatas and chakka bhajans of teams from Mallayyapalli in Chandragiri mandal, and 100 artistes from Rajahmundry and Kerala drums.

CVSO Ake Ravikrishna, Addl CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, SE Ramesh Reddy, Local temples DyEO Venkataiah, AEO Srinivasulu, Kakanabhattar Balaji Rangacharyulu, AE Nagaraju and a large number of devotees.

CHAKRASNANAM ON FEB 14

On last day of the ongoing Brahmotsavam, Wednesday colorful Chakrasnanam will be performed after a Snapana Thirumanjanam. Chakrathalwar will be immersed in the holy waters of the new pushkarini of the Sri KVS Temple.
