Retractable Roof Providing Gopura Dhwaja Darshan to Devotees After Many Decades - TTD Eo


Tirumala, 2 March 2018: The retractable roof which was set up in Tirumala temple to shield the pilgrims during inclement weather, is enabling devotees to have Dhwajastambha Darshan after many decades, said, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal.
Before taking calls from pilgrims during monthly Dial your EO programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, briefing the pilgrims on developmental activities, the EO said, earlier due to the covering, the devotees are void of taking a look at tip of the temple pillar as the roof shielded the pillar and the sky as well. But now as we made the retractable roof, it remains open enabling the devotees to cherish the sight of the temple pillar with a back drop sky providing them a unique experience”, he added.
RETRACTABLE ROOF IN GALLERIES
Reacting to the pilgrim caller Rajendra from Kakinada, the EO said, they will discuss the possibilities  of erecting retractable roof for galleries in mada streets.
ONLINE LUCKY DIP FOR TRANSPARENCY
Answering the pilgrim callers Saiprasad from Peddapuram, Venkat Rao from Vizag, Mallaiah from Miryalaguda, Rajasekhar from Anantapuram, Maheswara Rao from Telengana, the EO said, TTD has commenced on-line dip of arjitha seva tickets for transparency. He said the details of the quota release are also being scrolled in SVBC every time the tickets are released for the information of the pilgrims.
HI-FI CHECKING SYSTEM SOON
When a pilgrim Smt Nagamani from Nagaram sought EO to introduce machine based physical frisking instead of manual as it is causing inconvenience especially aged women devotees, answering her EO said, very soon new Hi-fi system will replace manual frisking in Tirumala.
PRESCRIBED NORMS FOR ROOMS ALLOTMENT
Responding to callers Bhavanarayana from Guntur, Tirupati Rao from Khammam, Subhash from Surat who sought importance to VIP letters during cottage allotment, the EO said, there are some prescribed norms to allot rooms to the VIP recommendation letters also.  As per the norms, rooms will be allotted in Koustubham. For darshan, the JEO office will entertain letters upto 3pm. Rooms will be allotted on first cum first basis in CRO without any recommendation in a transparent manner.

Venkateswarulu from Chennai sought EO to permit visually handicapped devotees closure to Lord for which EO replied as such it is not possible as daily 70thousand pilgrims throng Tirumala.
