Exotic Climbers to Beautify Ghat Roads

Tirumala, 8 April 2018:With an intention to provide aesthetic on both the footpath routes, TTD has taken up beautification works by growing exotic climbers.

Currently the works are going on at Alipiri Padala Mandapam to GNC toll gate and 1.5km stretch at Elephant Arch in first ghat road in the first phase.

Both sides of Alipiri footpath is set to get an attractive look with climbers like Clematis, Passy flora, Viscaria etc.

At Elephant Arch, Ixora, Begonia, Statodia flower species brought from the famous Kadiam Nursery were grown. Seperate pipeline to water these plants and climbers was also set up.

While in the second phase, plantation of exotic and decorative plants will be taken up Second Ghat, Srivari Mettu and Outer Ring Road areas.

The footpath greenery programme is going on under the supervision of FROs Siva kumar in Tirupati and

Nagendra in Tirumala.
