Vontimitta Brahmotsavams Concludes

Vontimitta, 2 April 2018: The Navahnika Brahmotsavams at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district concluded on a grand religious note with Chakrasnanam and Dhwajarohanam on Monday.

Chakrasnanam: The deities of Lord

Sri Rama, Sita Devi and Sri Lakshmana Swam were brought from the temple to Sri Rama Teertham temple tank and performed Snapana Tirumanjanam between 10:30am and 11:30am.

Later the Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was given celestial dip in temple tank waters marking the grand completion of the nine-day festival.

DHWAJAVAROHANAM PERFORMED

On the evening of Monday, the archakas performed Dhwajarohanam, the lowering of Garuda Dhwaja on temple pillar amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras.

With this the Navahnika Brahmotsavams came to an end on a religious note in a successful manner.

Temple officials took part in this fete which was observed between 5:30pm and 8pm.
