Ankurarpanam Performed for Pavitrotsavams

Tirumala, 20 August 2018: The Ankurarpanam for three-day annual Pavitrotsavams was observed on Monday evening.

Earlier during the day, Ritwik Varanam was carried out inside the temple. 

Speaking to media persons outside the temple, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal said, the Pavitrotsavams are observed every year as "Pariharotsavam" or sin free festival to the mistakes committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious staffs, non-religious staffs, devotees during the year.

On the first day, Pavitra Pratistha, second day Pavitramala Samarpana and final day Purnahuti are observed as a part of this fete. All arjitha sevas are cancelled during these three days", EO added.
