Spiritual Fervour Marks Varalakshmi Vratam in Tiruchanoor

Tiruchanoor, 24 August 2018: Devotional fervour reached its zenith on Friday on the auspicious occasion of Varalakshmi Vratam organised by TTD in Astana Mandapam of Tiruchanoor.

The religious event lasted for over two hours between 10am and 12noon. Sri Babu Swamy rendered the Sahasranamam of Sri Padmavathi Devi while Sri Srinivasacharyulu narrated the importance of Varalakshmi Vratam as taught by Lord Shiva to His spouse Parvathi Devi.

The stage was colourfully decked with varieties of flowers and illumination with electrical illumination.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, temple Spl.Gr.DyEO Munirathnam Reddy, VGO Ashok Kumar Goud and other officials, large number of devotees took part in the celestial fete. 

While in the evening Goddess will be taken on a pleasure ride on golden chariot along the streets encircling the shrine.
