AP CM Offers Silk Vastrams to Hill Lord


Tirumala, 13 September 2018: As a custom, the Honourable CM of AP N Chandra Babu Naidu presented silk vastrams and on behalf of state government on the first day of annual brahmotsavams of Sri Venkateswara swamy at Tirumala which commenced on Thursday evening.

Earlier a procession started from Sri Vedi Anjaneya Swamy temple where in the Head of the State carried the vastrams over his head and entered Tirumala temple through Mahadwaram.

After the traditional welcome amidst chanting of vedic mantras and mangala vaidyams, the CM and his entourage presented the clothes and offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara in Sanctum Sanctorum.

Later he was rendered vedasirvachanam by temple priests at Ranganayakula mandalam.

The Chairman TTD Trust Board, P Sudhakar Yadav, EO Anil Kumar Singhal and other officers presented Teertha Prasadams and laminated photo of Lord.

TTD SERVICES TO PILGRIMS AS WELL TO PUBLIC ARE IMPECCABLE-AP CM

The services of TTD to pilgrims and public are outstanding, said Honourable CM of AP N Chandrababu Naidu.

During his visit to Tirumala on Thursday evening on the occasion of first day of brahmotsavams, the CM complimented TTD for its pilgrim initiatives as well for taking care of general public by taking up various social welfare activities.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was CM of AP, he started Anna prasadam Trust in 1985 and today the Trust has reached a corpus of 1000 crores. Similarly, the Pranadana Trust is also proving to be providing a new lease of life to many poor.

He said, the first preference is to provide best possible darshanam to pilgrims and at the same time safe guarding the temple tradition without deviating Agama Shastra.
