Malayappa as Sri Krishna Takes Ride on Chinna Sesha Vahanam

TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 14:  The procession of Chinna Sesha Vahanam organized on the second day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam at Tirumala on Friday, the morning was a feast to the eyes of thousands of devotees who had congregated around the thoroughfares of the temple town.

The processional deity of Sri Malayappa Swamy, donning the role of Sri Krishna, was taken for a pleasure ride on the five- hooded golden Chinna Sesha vahanam in all His majestic display of power and strength.

It is widely believed that a divine glimpse of the Lord on Chinna Sesha Vahanam, who according to mythology is none other than the Lord taking ride on Serpent King Vasuki, enlightens the devout about the importance of the hidden Kundalini energy within him and enables him to attain his 8.4 millionth manifestation which is believed to be the last in the cosmic life cycle.

Earlier devotional books were released by the Publication wing of TTD before vahanam. TTD Chairman P Sudhakar Yadav, EO Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, TTD Board Members Challa Ramachandra Reddy, Smt Sudha Narayanamurthy, P Ramesh Babu, Addl CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, VGO Raveendra Reddy, Temple DyEO Haridranath and others were also present.
